Feb 22, 2019This game is not very good, it's not very bad too, it's just meh. It has some fun moments but they are few and far between. A lot of boring and mindless grind for the sake of grind.
Anthem would be ok game for a F2P, but for a $60 - absolutely not worth it. -

Feb 22, 2019All the 10/10 reviews saying "it'll be fixed with patches" & "More content is coming soon" tells you everything you need to know.
They're charging for it NOW so it should be judged NOW. Personally I think this could be a great game, in about 18 months & 3 DLCs time and im more than happy to wait and pick up the "complete" game then (for half the price) -
Feb 22, 2019Another incomplete skeleton of a game. It's functional and looks pretty, but that's about all it has going for it. It's yet another half-baked, repetitive grindfest of a "live service".
However, I don't doubt that Bioware did all they could with it. The blame should be aimed at EA for taking Bioware out of their element. -

Mar 24, 2019Great graphics and fast combat with an ok levelling system.
But I just have this feeling I miss the rest of the game. This is no Mass Effect or Dragon Age for sure.
I guess combat focused players will like this. But those of us who likes characters and story?
Why do I have a feeling this is just another moneymaker? -

Feb 24, 2019Game's shallow, bland and lacking content. Awful loot and terrible loading screens. Mediocre story and very many ancient mechanics with tethering being one of the worst. Game's worse than original Destiny at launch what is actually quite an accomplishment.

Feb 22, 2019EA continues to prove that marketing is more important to them than quality when it comes to videogames, Anthem is a shallow game which quickly becomes repetitive and boring with horrible loading times. At least it's pretty to look at though?

Feb 28, 2019It's a sad time. Cookie Cutter from Bioware, never though i'd see the day. 4 for the flying mechanics and some combat features. Otherwise I would give it a -2.

Game World Navigator MagazineMay 15, 2019After a while, suspicion sets in: perhaps EA doesn’t believe in BioWare anymore, and had them release not only unpolished, but basically unfinished product to cut losses and avoid another total rework. [Issue#237, p.44]

Apr 20, 2019If you want to see Anthem’s lush jungle and glistening Javelins, do it right away — this game is losing audience fast, and there’s almost nothing to do after the campaign ends. Or check it out on YouTube to save yourself some nerves and money.

Apr 8, 2019It's obvious that Anthem didn't have enough development time, but had some great potential. It's a real shame, that everything turned out this way. Even now, the game can bring out positive emotions. Hasty climbers have sudden falls. No matter how ironic this proverb may seem, it's incredibly relevant for Anthem.
