Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot is a gem. It’s got a superbly unique setting, and it feels simple and creative gameplay that gets your blood running, as well as a fantastic score to wrap it all up. That’s really all there is to say about Anger Foot. It’s great, fun, and one of my new favorites, but I know for a fact that nothing I could say could sell you on the game quite like screenshots from the game itself.
-
Sep 3, 2024Angry Foot is a fun first-person shooter where your primary weapon is your foot. Anger Foot has a stylized cartoon-like aesthetic similar to what you would find on Adult Swim. With smooth gameplay and an exotic world, Anger Foot is a must-buy.
-
Aug 29, 2024Anger Foot is a fast-paced, chaotic shooter that revels in its over-the-top action and stylish presentation. The game’s adrenaline-fueled gameplay and vibrant visuals deliver an intense and entertaining experience. However, its relentless pace and limited depth might not appeal to everyone. It’s a wild ride that’s perfect for those looking for a quick, explosive thrill, but it may not offer long-lasting engagement for all players.
-
Jul 22, 2024Anger Foot kicks ass, both figuratively and literally! It’s fast-paced and brutal, with a setting that just begs for you to go wild. Don’t sleep on this incredibly stupid and fun bout of focused chaos.
-
Jul 19, 2024Another crazy entry to Devolver’s catalogue, Anger Foot fits right in like a well-worn shoe. It’s violent, it’s daft, it’s challenging and like most others in the stable, it’s so instantly one-more-go-again that it becomes addictive. Lace them up and go kick it. Hard.
-
Jul 18, 2024There is a lot to love about Anger Foot, the bass-heavy music that blasts in your ears while kicking thugs all around a room really amps up the experience. There are some weird bosses and enemies too, one final form of a boss was literally just a beat-up car. Anger Foot is loud, rude, gross, in your face and most importantly it’s a lot of fun!
-
Jul 16, 2024Angry Foot is the most fun game you can play this year. It is fast, funny, punishing, and rewarding all at the same time. It has a great level design, with simple mechanics and a high value of repeatability. There are a few minor technical issues, but it shouldn’t stop you from playing this gem of an action game.
-
Jul 11, 2024While there's a chance that Anger Foot might not make a perfect first impression, it's recommended that any players keep at it, as what lies within is very well one of this year's best FPS games. A twisted gem of caffeinated action that never lets up and finds new ways to challenge players while still keeping things accessible to all, this is one shooter that plays like bizarre dream that's filthy and candy-coated at the same time, with great humor, visuals and an intense soundtrack to boot. One way or another, metaphorically or literally, you'll get a terrific kick out of it.
-
Jul 11, 2024The FPS is well-paced, smartly designed, and looks like a cartoon you would joyously gulp down with a Capri-Sun after school. It can occasionally frustrate, but it gives you all the tools you need to tailor the experience to your taste. It does many things well, and it accomplishes them elegantly. That a game this focused on feet pulled all that off has got to be the gaming surprise of 2024.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot is loud, gross, punishing, and funny as hell. It's a crime-fueled fever dream sprinkled with moments of genuine silly sincerity, and it's all connected by fast and fun foot-first combat that I couldn't get enough of.
-
Jul 11, 2024Defeat can be a bitter pill in Anger Foot, but I was amazed at how eager I remained to jump back in time after time. Firefights remained an exciting challenge even if I’d played it numerous times. Thwarting foes milliseconds before they pull the trigger, either by brute force or cleverly utilizing my surroundings, never ceased to feel cool. You should definitely walk a mile in these shoes.
-
Dec 16, 2024Anger Foot is a dirty, filthy, incredibly fun and funny FPS where you introduce people’s faces to the business end of your foot. The silly humour fits perfectly with its gameplay loop, and while the game is pretty simplistic, it can be very challenging. A fantastic game from Free Lives and Devolver!
-
Jul 23, 2024Quotation forthcoming.
-
Jul 15, 2024Anger Foot is a funny, unique FPS only slightly let down by performance issues.
-
Jul 11, 2024While it may have kicked my ass to kingdom come, Anger Foot is a creative approach to a chaotically simple FPS that’s light on the shooting and heavy on the kicking. Despite the simplicity of its controls, it is a refreshing take on an FPS that encourages players to do something other than mindlessly shoot enemies. I cannot wait to see what else Free Lives and Devolver cook up.
-
Jul 11, 2024I spoke in my preview about Anger Foot having that special something that makes games like Hotline Miami so addictive and multiple hours and many, many doors later, I stand by my early claim. The simple, tight gameplay moves at a frankly ridiculous pace, and the constant barrage of new elements keeps you experimenting to move just that little bit faster. The bosses are a bit hit-and-miss, and the insanity could’ve been reigned in a tad here and there, but that hardly gets in the way of this blisteringly good time. And hey, even if it did, it’s nothing that a bit of sole food won’t fix.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot Kicks things up to 11 with its fast-paced gameplay, stylish aesthetic and bumpin' tracks, making it a must-play for fans of the genre.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot is a very good game if you're fond of its mashup of ideas. The short levels, fast speed, and mostly one-hit kills all work well with the game's offbeat and goofy nature. It's a boomer shooter that demands near-perfection in execution but has enough tools to accommodate those who may not vibe with that ideal. Anger Foot has a good campaign length and a stylized presentation, so it is a strong option for fans of pure action.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot is an addictive and chaotic fast-action game that stands out in its genre with unique gameplay mechanics and hilarious enemy designs. Players take on the role of Anger Foot, kicking down doors and blasting through waves of enemies to restore justice in Shit City.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot is the game that many of us wanted, but no one had the courage to develop until now. A first-person Hotline Miami with enemies to kick in Duke Nukem's Mighty Foot style, hyper-saturated colors, pounding soundtrack and different shoes to try on, each with their own unique powers. There is also space for firearms, with the right degree of devastation, to cross the levels without leaving survivors. The indoor action is much more frenetic, getting a little lost in the outdoor sections where parkour takes over the shooting, but it remains a tremendously fun shooter/brawler.
-
Aug 29, 2024Anger Foot can be unnecessarily frustrating at times, occasionally too vulgar or awkward, yet it remains incredibly fun and adrenaline-packed in most moments. The game excels with its high-octane action, an excellent soundtrack, and cleverly designed levels that make revisiting them to complete challenges and unlock new shoes a joy. However, it's essential to pace yourself, or the game might wear you down before you kick the final boss out of their lair.
-
Edge MagazineAug 9, 2024In a game that revels in base pleasures, it's just enough to kick our brain into action, before happily switching it back off for another two-minute rush of pure adrenaline. [Issue#401, p.122]
-
Jul 23, 2024Anger Foot seems like it could be a one-trick-pony game, with shallow gameplay and gimmick. In fact, it’s a clever and fast-paced shooter with excellent pacing, surprising depth, and a lot of humor. It doesn’t outstay its welcome and it’s reasonably replayable. If you’re looking for a bit of foot-fueled adrenaline, Anger Foot fits the bill.
-
Jul 17, 2024Anger Foot’s fast and frantic pace is just what the podiatrist ordered. Though its bite-sized levels and twitchy gameplay aren’t for everyone, those who like to go on the offensive and nail the perfect run will enjoy stepping foot in this new territory.
-
Jul 16, 2024Difficult, adrenaline-fueled and stupid as hell, Anger Foot does not disappoint and, after the 2022 demo, kicking dumb enemies like there's no tomorrow also works in the long run.
-
Jul 11, 2024The absurd nature makes it stand out and shine, although that's not all that excels here. It doesn't overstay its welcome, it constantly adds additional challenge and variety through new enemy types, more weapons, and fresh biomes, matches that up with a top-notch presentation and tight and flawless performance, and yet still has the presence to provide tough and truly demanding additional activities for those that want to push themselves to the limit. If you're looking for an energetic, loud, and violent action experience this summer, Anger Foot is the game to choose.
-
Jul 11, 2024At breakneck speeds, it’s an enjoyable romp spent massacring a bunch of hapless jerks, getting revenge on the same enemies whose blithe dances the player is forced to watch at every restart. It’s a little derivative, a little silly, and runs out of steam whenever the tempo flattens, but why let it? Just run back into that level and try again, this time wearing stilettos, as a flex.
-
Jul 11, 2024Those looking to conquer its many stages will have a tough mountain to climb, but its novel quirks make that foot-stomping journey all the more satisfying. Whether using assist tools or blasting through on your own merit, Anger Foot is an explosive blast.
-
Jul 11, 2024You are almost fascinated by the pounding rhythm of Anger Foot, a shooter that looks to the past without disdaining the present. It's a shame that Free Lives has decided to implement poorly structured boss fights, which are completely out of place in the general context of the game. Having said that, fans of the genre will certainly find what they want. And for their feet.
-
Aug 12, 2024If you're looking for a serious, story-driven shooter, look elsewhere. But if you want a hilarious, action-packed experience that lets you channel your inner rage through the power of your foot, then Anger Foot is the perfect game to kick back and relax with (by which I mean unleash a torrent of destruction, but you get the idea). The range of enemies, the collection of shoes with their various special abilities and the speedrun component of Anger Foot will keep players heading back for more stomping fun.
-
Aug 2, 2024Anger Foot is at its best in motion. Falling into a hallway hypnosis of garish ’90s aesthetics and murderous footwork, I don’t have to think — I just react. It’s when I’m forced to slow down and hear a joke or fight a boss that requires pauses in the pace that I begin to notice the seams. While these moments aren’t dealbreakers, they’re unfortunate stumbles in an otherwise sure-footed experience.
-
Jul 19, 2024Anger Foot combines fast-paced gameplay, cool visual design, and smart humor and offers an innovative and challenging way to experience its world, proving that even a simple, low-budget indie game can be done correctly.
-
Jul 15, 2024As bizarre as it sounds, Anger Foot is quite enjoyable and, despite some technical flaws, it provides players with a wild and entertaining experience.
-
Jul 12, 2024Anger Foot initially impresses with its creativity, gameplay, and stylization, but these positive impressions gradually fade due to mediocre level design. While the fast-paced combat is enjoyable and the variety of sneakers that provide abilities is a clever idea, along with multiple ways to solve optional side objectives, the game's levels lack standout features. This leads to a quick loss of novelty and interest after a short time of playing.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot is not a game without flaws. We've actually encountered many throughout our adventure in the sunny Shit City, while kicking doors and asses of goons and strange creatures. Nonetheless, its funny, stupidly satisfying gameplay makes this "first-person shooter" genre debut one to cherish jealousy in our library.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot has all the makings of a cult classic. Shooting and booting your way through the bonkers assortment of enemies remains exhilarating throughout with plenty of replayability. From the cartoonish flying feet to a vaping, ski-masked adorned girlfriend, it's endearingly quirky if a little juvenile. Levels might blur together and hold it back from greatness, but if there are plans to establish a franchise of ass kickers, I'd wholeheartedly welcome the news.
-
Aug 30, 2024Anger Foot is a stylish, fast-paced first-person shooter that combines a unique kicking mechanic with adrenaline-fueled gameplay. While its humor and vibrant visuals stand out, the repetitive combat and level design can make the game feel monotonous over time. If you enjoy arcade-style shooters and quirky aesthetics, Anger Foot offers a fun, albeit occasionally frustrating, experience.
-
Jul 28, 2024At its best, Anger Foot is a great tribute to its biggest inspiration, Hotline Miami, with a FPS perspective smartly used. The gameplay is as frantic and exhilarating, with an OST (sadly a bit limited) that literally takes us in a psychedelic LSD trip through Shit City. The experience is unfortunately marred by some frustrating shortcomings, such as a clumsy gunplay, leading us way too often to a quick and annoying demise, over and over again. Worst of all are the boss fights, extremely tedious, and in stark contradiction with the rest of the gameplay loop. Sadly, the 20-odd shoes that we can collect through a lot of hardship won't help, a lot of them adding funny effects to be sure, but rather useless nonetheless. All in all, Anger Foot is a pretty satisfying game, but clearly lacks the mastery of Dennaton Games' title, although 12 years its elder.
-
Jul 12, 2024Anger Foot’s rapid-fire, door-kicking action will compel some to dance along to its vibrant beat, but repetition and lackluster levels mean not all will be swept off their feet.
-
Jul 12, 2024Equal parts first-person shooter and kick-fest, Angry Foot is a adrenaline-filled romp with a few annoyances.
-
Jul 12, 2024It's loud, fast and utterly insane: Anger Foot comes close to being a speedrunners dream, if you can stomach the flat jokes and constant background music.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot is the B-movie of video games: it’s loud, messy, and doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not. It’s the kind of experience you’ll either love or hate, depending on your tolerance for toilet humor and over-the-top violence. The game’s unapologetic immaturity might be a turn-off for some, but those who embrace its chaotic energy will find a surprisingly polished and addictive power fantasy. It’s a weekend fling of a game, best enjoyed in short bursts before the charm wears off. So, if you’re in the mood for a mindless, adrenaline-fueled rampage with a healthy dose of crude humor, strap on your kicking boots and let loose.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot is a good shooter but it’s not always a compelling shooter nor the best it should be. I feel it important to give flowers to the unique use of hardstyle music and the fun implementations of new abilities granted by the different pairs of shoes you unlock. Though the polish and sheen are undeniably present with its gorgeous presentation and frenetic and fun gameplay that sees a symphony of flying kicks, bullets and grenades, it’s let up by ways the game could’ve been better refined. The humour found within gets old after a while and it has some of the most dull and uninspired boss designs I’ve seen in a shooter for quite some time. Yes, the minute-to-minute is good but the pitfalls feel like a square, hard kick in the head. Ouch.
-
Aug 5, 2024Anger Foot is a furious, addictive and fun action game with lots of silly humor, simple bosses and overly long stages.
-
Jul 12, 2024As a concept, Anger Foot is genius. I loved the city, the gangs, and the oddball humour. Oh, and the soundtrack is a thumping ass-kicker that constantly delivers big beats and funky grooves. However, the concept is restricted by itself. It certainly lives up to its name as you definitely can kick everything with your foot. I just wish I could have let loose, played around with different tactics, and embraced the chaotic absurdity that the developers were channelling with more depth.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot promises and delivers shooting/kicking action at a furious pace. You don't have to sprint through each level, but the experience feels both more alive and more rewarding with the music at full blast and max pressure on the W key. If you are a fan of "speedrunning" and shooting games, this could be right up your alley. Lots of trial and error to sweep through levels as quickly and perfectly as you can. For those who don't like doing the same things over and over again, Anger Foot can quickly become tiresome. There are just a bit too many levels and far too many hopeless boss fights here. The convoluted solution for changing shoes - which gives you various advantages - is also extremely frustrating, but perhaps the developer can do something about that eventually.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot is essentially Hotline Miami played from a first-person perspective, with your foot being your most valuable asset. As fun as kicking things with a variety of effects is, however, the action gets repetitive pretty fast, the difficulty feels unfair at times, and the soundtrack may drive you up the wall.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot has a laser-targeted feel to its approach, and I can certainly see a specific group of FPS sickos losing their minds over it. There are tons of challenge, built-in speedrunning, and lots of flashing colors. There’s enough toilet humor to decimate an underfunded transit station bathroom, too. But if you fall outside of those extremely specific (and smelly) parameters, potential interest in Anger Foot is going to plummet. I don’t see the humor being enough to encourage casual audiences to stick around, even with the ability to turn dying off. Personally, I’m happy to wash my hands, uh, literally.
-
Jul 11, 2024Anger Foot's one-note action gimmick can't find a second leg to stand on.

Jul 11, 2024I consider this a kind of grimly hilarious manifestation in the vein of an Alan Moorish act of chaotic development magick, minus the part where the art actually has anything of substance to say about literally anything. That’s fine! Substance isn't always necessary. Those doors were substantial, and you saw what happened to them, didn’t you? Sometimes what Anger Foot does offer is worse than nothing, mind. The concept for the final boss (‘unholy corpulence') is effectively “lol, fat.” You’re funnier than that, mates. I know you are because I’ve just played your game. He keeps trying to knock you into a pool of molten cheese, but this is weak sauce.
