    Very nice game. I love rts - but they are so few. Historical background nicely written. Game mechanics interesting, you need to think and plan your attacks. Good 2018 RTS

    Una idea muy buena, con grandes posibilidades pero...

    Gráficamente es cartón-piedra, para esas texturas mejor cambiar el estilo artístico del juego.
    el control de la cámara así como la gestión de las unidades es tosco y nada intuitivo.

    Nice trailers, great announcements, and the game itself is boring and repeatable. The battles last forever. No balance between factions. Title is very poor, the game is very simple, there are much better titles.

    Gameplay.
    What's not bad? Visuals and story. What's good? Music and sound effects. I don't know this developer, and I haven't played any other their games. Although AL is just a sad story how they tried to make a good RTS. You see the effort, you can feel the passion of the authors but overall it is not a good game. It lacks a constructive critique in its basics. The    What's bad?
    Gameplay.

    What's not bad?
    Visuals and story.
    What's good?
    Music and sound effects.
    I don't know this developer, and I haven't played any other their games. Although AL is just a sad story how they tried to make a good RTS. You see the effort, you can feel the passion of the authors but overall it is not a good game. It lacks a constructive critique in its basics. The money spent on visuals and audio is wasted because of gameplay. Have you played Spore? Have you felt the wasted potential of millions of $? It's the same experience but probably not millions, only thousands. You can still buy it on the discount or maybe it will be in a bundle. But do you really want to waste your precious time on something mediocre? There is literally nothing for you to see / read / do which you haven't done / seen / read in other games. Even the story isn't good enough, it's just not bad.
    Buy or not to buy?

    A good RTS ruined by poor balance and game design.

    For example, even on Easy difficulty, the enemy can replace unit losses faster than you can kill them, even when you are fighting in their base and they have no apparent resource pool, and buildings 'heal' faster than you can destroy! And like plagues so many RTS, you have to micromanage **** all over the map, sending units to defend    A good RTS ruined by poor balance and game design.

    And like plagues so many RTS, you have to micromanage **** all over the map, sending units to defend some far off settlement that the AI has decided to target.

    I think the game would have been better with a slower, more linear pace, like Total War battles on a smaller scale.

    Ich kaufte, weil das Spiel eine positive Rückmeldung hat. Es stellt sich heraus, dass es ein totaler Fehler ist. Die Kampagne ist langweilig und wiederholbar. Der Netzwerkmodus existiert nicht. Kleine Auswahl an Einheiten, Infanterie, Kavallerie und Katapult (dies erweist sich als völlig nutzlose Einheit). Wir haben praktisch zwei Einheiten. Kein Bau von Gebäuden, wo wir wollen, so wie esIch kaufte, weil das Spiel eine positive Rückmeldung hat. Es stellt sich heraus, dass es ein totaler Fehler ist.     Wow a fantastic RTS with a special twist.. very easy to start and very deep system. The graphic is very great and the history part is very cool. A must play for any RTS gamer and fan of history fact !!

    Its a great strategy game. It gives you sth that was not available on the market untill now. Plot, battles, graphics, historical background. Everything is on top lvl.

    Ancestors legacy is an RTS that takes the best parts from different existing games while giving it its own unique twist.

    First of all, the ambiance is outstanding. Art, sounds and visuals really make this game a great experience. It has squad based units very similar to LOTR Battle for middle earth and Company of Heroes.     A decent combat system spoilt by base building. You can't call your game "Historical" and then put in it some barracks that produce units while burnning. I mean, recruits literally train on the backyard of the barracks while the battle rages on. It's like if i'd go "Wait a minute, I'll push up to build some muscle" before a bar fight. It breaks any immersion completely, especially whenA decent combat system spoilt by base building.     It works in old school RTS games, but non of them supposed to be a historical realistic experience. The game looks gorgeous and I really like the animations, but that base building system is just a deal breaker for me.    … Expand

    Best RTS game for years! Beautiful graphic, great gameplay, many fractions. It's MUST HAVE for any strategy enthusiast.

    Whereas there are some issues later on in the game with some missions getting very frustrating and a bit of same-yness, the game is brilliant, brutal and well flavored. A pleasure to play it.

    OOOOOOO OOOO EEEE E eeooooooo AAAAAAAA the music alone in this game is worth every penny besides that if you like company of heroes or any of the small squad rts titles you'll like ancestors legacy the campaign is it historical? eh kind of. is in fun? ABOLUTELY and that's just about what i have to say for this game you should play it and if you don't want go try it the peasant edition is free

    When picking up Ancestors Legacy, you need to be aware that it’s not a carbon copy of Age of Empires or Warcraft III. A lot of gameplay elements were designed in a new, original way and even though at first it does cause confusion, it quickly turns out to be one of the game’s most notable strengths (which also include visuals and entrancing soundtrack).
