A genuinely enjoyable Alien title. Mix dread with delight and a mouth full of razor sharp fangs, and you're most of the way there. A solid entry in a franchise that fails as often as it succeeds. This mix retro future industrial design and Giger's monster don't reach the heights of Amanda Ripley's adventure, but Rogue Incursion still feels like a must buy for fans of the Xenomorph.

Alien: Rogue Incursion is a faithful and fear-inducing game, with intelligent xenomorphs and some strong storytelling throughout.

All in all, I recommend Alien: Rogue Incursion, but… not if you’re a newbie to VR or are prone to motion sickness. Play a few other games first to get worked up to this one, and then you can enjoy it with the rest of us. You won’t regret picking the game up if you’re an Alien fan.

Alien: Rogue Incursion delivers a solid VR experience with great atmosphere, but it’s held back by repetitive gameplay and some questionable design choices. A good game, but not a memorable one.

There's a lot of potential that was only partially exploited in the Xenomorphs' VR debut, but there's no doubt that Part One has laid the foundations for something important: let's hope Survios takes the feedback to heart and delivers a spectacular Part Two.

A solid VR shooter with dense atmosphere and alien bonus that lacks the finishing touches.

I like every part of Alien: Rogue Incursion except for the most important one, the combat. It looks amazing, sounds great, and has a solid story. I am sad to say that I found said combat, and how often it was forced upon me, to make the game tough to recommend at launch. Not only that, but this is a ‘surprise’ Part One. At $40 I hope that the full package, many patches later, can find the brilliance that’s hidden underneath this game’s faults.

Alien: Rogue Incursion took me by surprise. I was expecting a shoddy half-baked experience that tried to profit off of the Alien license. Instead, I was treated to one of the best VR experiences I’ve had since jumping into the medium. Some games just benefit from the use of VR in ways that you can’t experience by playing on a flat screen. Alien: Rogue Incursion is one of them. Combining the tense horror that Alien is known for with incredible visuals and interactivity, it’s a must-play for fans of the franchise. And even for those who may not be as tuned into it as they’d like to be. [Recommended]
