Oct 30, 2025Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition does the best single thing it could for a game set in this franchise: it looks and feels like an Alien game. Where it also feels like a VR port makes sense and meshes well with the tone and arc of the gameplay. This part one doesn’t weigh in with the longest playtime and it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, but based on this first effort the sequel and eventual conclusion of the story seems worth waiting for, and playing through when it does drop. But I would like to see the Aliens get a little deadlier, and the pulse rifle get a boost along with it.

Oct 7, 2025Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition – Part One is a VR game that has been very decently reworked into a traditional format. The first half of the story is great, with good fights and decent interaction with terminals and surrounding objects, as well as electrical puzzles. However, the lack of new areas and frequent backtracking makes it less enjoyable.

Oct 3, 2025Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One: Evolved Edition is a competent and fairly well-adapted adventure, standing out for the relationship between its protagonists and its excellent atmosphere. It’s a shame that the design philosophies inherited from the virtual-reality version still influence the experience. The simple structure of the puzzles and combat, the lack of enemy and environment variety, as well as the bugs and other technical issues, ultimately hinder the game’s potential. Even so, it’s worth playing despite the setbacks — especially for Alien fans.
