Jun 22, 2021Alex Kidd in Miracle World brings back a classic Master System game with new visuals, game modes, and themes. It's worth a try, especially if you like hardcore platforming titles.
-
Jun 22, 2021Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is a worthy remake of the 8-bit classic, modernising the game but keeping the same gameplay that made it a classic all those years ago.

Jun 29, 2021As a person who was not alive during the heyday of this video game, I can safely say that it is completely worth it. This remaster brings the best of this classic to a new generation with many improvements that makes it feel new.

Jun 22, 2021Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is a game with a value that goes beyond its renewed aesthetics, although its virtues may also be its biggest problem. It's fun when you master it and has all the elements of the original Alex Kidd in Miracle World from the SEGA Master System. The differences with that game, outside of the aesthetic section, are minimal, that is why, in essence, it is the same 8-bit game from 35 years ago, with linear levels, limited lives and instant death. If you don't like trial and error very much or prefer more permissive experiences, we recommend paying tribute to Alex Kidd in another way and better by playing rock-paper-scissors.

Jun 27, 2021The remake of the legendary Alex Kidd In Miracle World is already a reality. The 8-bit classic comes back to life from the hand of the Spanish Jankenteam in a reimagining that adds several new elements, leaving us wanting more.

CD-ActionSep 1, 2021Alex Kidd, SEGA’s forgotten mascot that preceded Sonic, returns in a remastered version of the 1986 plartformer. Miracle World DX is faithful to the original game but some new features (e.g. the option to disable the lives limit) made it easier. Although pretty, enhanced graphics failed to convince me completely, as softened edges, noticeably lower contrast, and new foreground objects (that sometimes obscure the action) are a bit confusing. It’s also a shame that you need to complete the game to unlock the classic mode. [09/2021, p.46]

Jun 22, 2021The developers did a wonderful job at faithfully remastering a legacy game but the truth is that the original game wasn't that great. A great purchase for Sega fans and for those who want to own a piece of gaming's history but there are a lot of other great platformers out there.

Jun 27, 2021Both true to its original foundation and distant in its changes, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is arguably not the remake fans of the character could hope for. Some will think the progression is out of date, and they won't be wrong, but the biggest problem is imprecise controls and collisions with enemies. With its very colorful production and quality musical themes, the experience remains correct, but less striking than expected.
-
Jun 22, 2021Though it has all of the hallmarks of a solid remake, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX likely sticks a bit too close to the subject matter to resonate with a modern audience. Don't let the lush visuals fool you. It's unapologetically brutal design, combined with control issues and unexplained mechanics galore, all make for an uneven and unrecommendable experience.

Jun 28, 2021Alex Kidd In Miracle World DX is a game only a diehard fan could love. It is frustrating, repetitive, and plagued with the issues of a bygone era. Despite the lovely graphical update, there is very little here for any newcomers, and seems a waste of potential in favour of appeasing old fans.

Jun 25, 2021After playing it for a while I can say that's not perfect, but not that bad. Alex Kidd fans will enjoy it for sure.
