    I find its cover pretty interesting that I decided to play it. Turns out this is one of the most mind-blowing horror game I've ever played. The atmosphere of reading Stephen King's book is pretty strong

    Hype for part 2 is insane! Hopefully it will be combination of Silent Hill/The Evil Within/Dead Space with some Original Alan Wake flavor, because they promised to go full survival-horror with next one.

    Alan Wake is interesting in terms of plot and characters, but has primitive gameplay. If you prefer plot over gameplay, then you gonna like this game as much as me!

    I always wanted to play this game since it got praised a lot, so in 2022 i played it and finished it.
    I don't wanna go into details but the game was huge disappointment for me.

    Ich machs kurz und knackig die kämpfe sind zwar nicht das abwechslungsreiche und ap und zu ist etwas zu lang gestreckt aber sonst alles top die admosphäre ist gewaltig die horror mysterien sind sehr gut der sound ist der hammer, dan noch abwechslungsreiche missionen und tolle licht effekte aber jezt zum Meilenstein des spiels und zwar die story, die Geschichte ist von anfang bis endeIch machs kurz und knackig die kämpfe sind zwar nicht das abwechslungsreiche und ap und zu ist etwas zu lang gestreckt aber sonst alles top die admosphäre ist gewaltig die horror mysterien sind sehr gut der sound ist der hammer, dan noch abwechslungsreiche missionen und tolle licht effekte aber jezt zum Meilenstein des spiels und zwar die story, die Geschichte ist von anfang bis ende spannend die Charaktere sind gut geschrieben und das mysterium um die finsterniss ist einfach klever geschrieben der plot ist der hammer und hier und da gibtes auch mal ein paar whao momente wo mit man nicht gerechnet hat für mich ist alan wake ein Meisterwerk und von remady das beste spiel und eins der besten singelplayer story games aller zeiten… Expand

    Alan Wake игра, сделанная как средний сериальчик. Геймплей всё равно что палка-копалка для нынешнего человека, простой и не замысловатый. Графика плохая и лица кривые. В общем игра тянет на 5 из 10, больше не заслуживает.

    Seriously cannot understand why ppl rate this game this high. The narrative is just so so bad which annoys me to the max and the plot is just, ugh I can’t. Worst story telling and narrative ever. Will give 1 point for gameplay i guess. as long as he stops monologuing to explain the story and his feeling i would feel better

    A really good mechanic fed into classical story based shooter game. Story was well written up until the very end, i didn't really liked the ending. And it might be a ''me problem'' but instead of bringing new types of enemies spawning same one more and more is just annoying rather than entertaining in the end game i was expecting a unkillable enemy that just follows us through like fromA really good mechanic fed into classical story based shooter game.     Good atmosphere, good story, many people say the story is 'unoriginal', can they name me 5 or more games with better story lines...? Well done Remedy Entertainment keep up the good work.

    Alan Wake is a decent port with a few console-characteristics that cause a few annoyances. But PC-gamers finally have the option to enjoy Alan Wake's unique and gripping story.

    Yet as a finished result and, finally, as a product with an interactive purpose, Alan Wake suffers enough from trying to mix so many influences, ending very close to the "you love it or hate it" model. Eventually, maybe these are just the "pains of childbirth" for something more complex or for something else as deserving as interactivity, a new „species" that needs to be judged less for its interactive aspects and more for the ones that regard its style.
