    Bought this not long ago. I already had Age of Empires 3 (without the expansions), but had lost it a while back. It wasn't my favorite game at the time, but I thought I'd give it another go, and I had always wanted to try out the expansions. I made a very good choice. The expansions add so much to the game that the enjoyability is far above what Age of Empires 3 was without them. This isBought this not long ago.     I am a Civ minion and I LOVE the world-builders. This game is highly entertaining for a RTS which I generally avoid. I wish Microsoft would take this franchise in a turn-based direction. I don't like rushing or trying to beat the clock- I do that all day at work. I think a chess-like Civ pace work work well with this title. The market is just flooded with RTS!     A wonderful game while not quite as good as Age Of Empires 2 it is still worthy to bear the name Age Of Empires and mowing down hordes of enemies flinging them across the screen not sparing a single villager BRINGING TOTAL DEATH AND DESTRUCTION TO THE LAND WITH GIANT MOTHER MONSTER TRUCKS... you know is always good for a few laughs. But this game has lost some of the grandness of theA wonderful game while not quite as good as Age Of Empires 2 it is still worthy to bear the name Age Of Empires and mowing down hordes of enemies flinging them across the screen not sparing a single villager BRINGING TOTAL DEATH AND DESTRUCTION TO THE LAND WITH GIANT MOTHER MONSTER TRUCKS... you know is always good for a few laughs. But this game has lost some of the grandness of the previous titles while Age Of Empires 2 is a base builder not managing an empire like a total war game it made you feel like you were in something bigger than your self in the wonderful way the campaigns were presented even if they were riddled full of historical inaccuracies. But with so much content and slick animations and just plain fun gameplay (If you like RTS style games) you more then get your moneys worth with this beautiful RTS. Collapse… Expand

    Picked it up on clearance when a local Office Depot was closing, and was not expecting much. I'd played the first two games and Age of Mythology, which I loved, but it seemed to get a little less interesting and a little overly complex with each game came out, but this was actually quite nice.     I don't recommend it but it isn't bad. Get it on sale between $10-$20 and it's worth it.

    The game isn't bad but it's a lot more dumbed down from AoE2. Here you can only select a few nations and are very restricted building units (you can only have a set amount,) same with buildings - can only have a few guard towers.     Age of Empires 3 was a great game. Warchiefs and Asian Dynasties are great additions to the game. The offer you 6 new campaigns and many new nations and maps to play on. And because it only adds maps, missions and nations, makes it a good DLC, because the game was a core game and the DLCs just added on the core game. Its not a half made game with DLC to complete it.     I have been playing this game since it released, and almost three years later I am still playing it and having fun. I would strongly recommend this game.

    The greatest RTS multiplayer game of all time. Only thing that brings it down is the toxicity of some of the players online. Otherwise, an incredible game which gets better with experience and becomes a real art to play. The game requires serious understanding of the intricacies of base building, economy management military management and micro.     Age III is a decent addition to the AoE series, but somehow manages to fall short.

    Age of Empires, Age of Empires II, and Age of Mythology are better.

    I would say that one of the few points in which Age of Empires III excels over the other games in the series would be the graphics. The game campaign is rich in history but poor in editing.     Best value - original game 6 all DLCs.
    One of the best RTS games I ever played.
    Visual and sound design back then was outstanding :)

    The complete edition consists of the main game and all expansion packs, but misses the graphic update released on the definite edition. Though, for its time in 2009, it offered all you need to enjoy the AoE 3 game to the fullest. Simply a classic RTS with endless hours of gameplay.

    AOE III is my favorite AOE game, although I wish there were more nations to play like maybe the holy roman empire and Austria

    Still a big mod community and an array of ways to play the game. The graphics are not too bad for such an old game. The AI is not very smart and that's a big negative.

    Age of Empires 3 the best strategy, many hours spent in it, it's a real pleasure to play, I have all praise for this game. I would recommend it to everyone!
