    Aces & Adventures has strong deck building and an inspired twist on the card-driven combat concept. There are enough abilities that players can develop strategies and perform cool moves but poker combinations are random enough that the results are never guaranteed. The heroes cater to a variety of play styles and there’s a lot of content to explore using each of them. The campaign structure is a little familiar but a lot of effort has been put into the presentation. Aces & Adventures is sharp, tense, and has a solid grasp on what makes a deck battler sing.

    Despite defects such as translation, progression in the endgame or an improved UI, Ace & Adventures is a convinced yes thanks mainly to the breath of fresh air it brings to the world of digital CCGs with its original, fun and stimulating gameplay.

    Aces & Adventures is a nice and well-executed mix of Poker and Magic. It takes a few hours to get into the loop and realize the various strategic possibilities made available by the cards of the five heroes, but at that point it becomes quite enjoyable. This is not a revolutionary card game, but we recommend it to fans of the genre.
