Jul 18, 2021It was about what I expected from a Total War game. The food requirement for armies seemed a bit ridiculous and severely slows down the pace of the game.
Date Completed: 2021-07-18
Playtime: 34h
Enjoyment: 7/10
Recommendation: It got a bit repetitive toward the end but I otherwise enjoyed it. -

Feb 23, 2023Long time Total War fan here: The game is very far away from being true total war game (like Medieval 1-2, Rome 1-2, shogun 1-2 and Attila). The game is simplified and unrealistic to become a proper historical title.

Apr 26, 2021Güzel oyun gibi aslında, harita dar, şehirler yakın, mekanikler fena değil. Bug çok vardı ben oynarken ama, diplomasi falan kırıktı.

CD-ActionNov 16, 2020A mix between Three Kingdoms and Thrones of Britannia, Troy is a solid game that has a lot to offer and guarantees many hours of addictive fun but might disappoint loyal Total War fans with some of the changes (e.g. diplomacy). If you’re new to the series, be prepared to power through the overwhelming beginning, fortunately with the help of one of the best tutorials I’ve ever seen. [11/2020, p.60]

Game World Navigator MagazineOct 21, 2020Troy can’t hold its own against the main entries of Total War series. But its purpose is to introduce new players to the series, and in that regard, Troy is more than adequate. [Issue#248,p.44]

Oct 18, 2020As an abstract total conversion of Total War, Troy is a passable game, but it does very little to convey the atmosphere of Iliad (or that movie with Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom, for that matter).
