    It was quite enjoyable for the most part. I'm really excited about the next sequel. A few bugs made the experience a little harder. Other than these, I loved the German dub. Better than English, I'd say.

    A pretty great story. The ending boss fight can get a little irritating but a very solid concept and lots of rats.

    The storyline is gripping and often times tense and suspenseful. The combat is top-notch and the puzzle elements are deceptively challenging. The voice acting is also superb, with a wide range of emotions and tones that help to make the story come to life. Additionally, the graphics are absolutely stunning and the setting itself is quite immersive. All in all, A Plague Tale: Innocence isThe storyline is gripping and often times tense and suspenseful.     Favorite Thing: I really liked the story and it went a bit crazier than I expected.
    Least Favorite Thing: Hugo. Didn't much like having to play as him either.

    Haven't player the whole way through yet. But can say that the story, gameplay and mechanics are way ahead of other recent AAA games. After being disappointed by Rage 2, this was a breath of fresh air.

    For an Indie game visuals are good enough. Story is ok but a bit boring at places. Most memorable elements are rats and overall environments and atmosphere. Some of the characters are really memorable as well. Overall it’s a pretty solid experience.

    It was a really good experience with good visuals and a very sensitive narrative, but the duration of the game in some point near the end breaks the mood of the gameplay thinking about where is the end. The puzzles and the stealh mix of gameplay works but a less lineal approach would have been more ejoyable to the player.

    We got good story, interesting setting and cool atmosphere of France at 1300s. But also we got bad gameplay. I can't play in this game. Developer just take ALL bad thing that can be in gameplay and mix it. Better watch it on youtube or somewhere else. 7/10 and only becouse of atmosphere.
    It's good like movie but bad like game.

    Nice game with a good atmosphere and story.
    I really wanted to find out how the story ended so this game has cost me some sleep.. And now I know and I will probably never play it again. There's no difficulty setting and no real choices, so replay-value is zero to none.

    This game has astonishing graphics, a great soundtrack, a nice gameplay. Recommend for players which like immersive games. The mid-end of game get a little lost in terms of history and gameplay: the puzzles and rats challenges gets very odd and the history doesnt close very well, but fits. I give it a 8.0 Great.

    I went into this blind. A great surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Amicia and Hugo, great voice actors and animations. Good to see a game of this calibre from a smaller studio. It looks amazing too and I believe on their own engine.

    Graphically beautiful, great voice-acting, great soundtrack, great story line. Overall if you like puzzle based games, with some fighting and upgrades, then play this game! Definitely worth it.

El principal fuerte de este tipo de juegos es su historia, aunque en este caso el apartado técnico, sin ser un triple A, es tambien excelente. Nos entregan un producto perfectamente pulido en cuanto a acabado y optimización. Totalmente disfrutable, sinA plague tale: Innocence es una aventura cinemática y lineal con mucho en común con grandes nombres de la industria como The Last of us. El principal fuerte de este tipo de juegos es su historia, aunque en este caso el apartado técnico, sin ser un triple A, es tambien excelente. Nos entregan un producto perfectamente pulido en cuanto a acabado y optimización. Totalmente disfrutable, sin errores, de principio a fin. Con un bello y detallado apartado gráfico que muestra la Edad Media francesa con todo detalle, y un control sencillo e intuitivo que implementa mecánicas muy cuidadas en las que sobresale el sigilo, la resolución de puzzles y un testimonial combate que será de utilidad solo en contadas ocasiones, puesto que pelear contra caballeros pesados con armadura, siendo una muchacha adolescente, no es precisamente realista.

    El juego se centra en Amicia, una joven noble que vive feliz en su chateau con sus padres, un señor feudal de bajo rango, pero con tierras y vasallos a su cargo, su madre, una eminente médico y alquimista y su joven hermano Hugo, enfermo de un extraño mal del que no saben practicamente nada, al menos en apariencia. Un día, soldados de la inquisición hacen aparición en su casa y matan a todos, la madre le encarga a Amicia que se lleve a Hugo y lo proteja hasta llegar a la casa de un alquimista que le dirá que es lo que tiene que hacer. La inquisición tiene interés en el chaval y no dejará de perseguirlo hasta haberlo apresado. Aqui, pues, comenzará nuestra aventura en pos de la cura del chaval. En el camino conoceremos a nuestros aliados y enemigos y la oscura motivación de estos últimos.

    Mención especial merecen los ‘combates’, por llamarlos de algún modo, con las ratas. Los efectos de las oleadas de ratas que lo infestan todo es espectacular. Como se mueven al unísono,pareciendo un verdadero mar negro, los cientos de pares de ojos rojos que brillan en la oscuridad al acecho de que abandones la luz para devorarte sin remilgos y los ingeniosos puzzles que el juego propone para librarse de ellas o bien utilizarlas como aliadas involuntarias.

    Si te gustan los juegos cinemáticos, con una historia de película detrás, A Plague Tale: Innocence es un buen candidato para pasar un fin de semana muy entretenido. Su duración, entre las 12 y 14 horas que nos ha llevado a nosotros es más que suficiente para este tipo de juegos. Además disfrutarás de un juego con una calidad de triple A sin serlo, con un acabado gráfico impecable y un control pulido y con mecánicas variadas. Recomendado. A por la segunda parte.    … Expand

    Gostei bastante da história. Bem emocionante e angustiante.

    Pontos Positivos + História + Personagens cativantes + Visual e som encaixam muito bem. Pontos Negativos - IA dos inimigos nas partes stealth é bem fraquinha. - Eu achei meio longo, principalmente porque a maioria do progresso da história está na segunda metade. - Algumas partes de plataforma e puzzles (alavancas que    Gostei bastante da história.     Un gran juego me ha gustado la forma en la que se desarrolla la historia sus personajes banda sonora gráficos un gran juego sin duda alguna lo recomiendo, no le doy mas nota por que aun que tenga buenos doblajes viene doblado al frances pero no al Español y podrían haber pulido algún que otro detalle pero el juego en si es increíble y Amacia la mejor hermana del mundo.

Graficamente es muy bueno y el doblaje es muy creible. Me ha durado algo mas de 11 horas y es muy poco rejugable, lo cual no me importa pues es muy intenso y lo jugué en Game Pass.     i liked this game for the very dense atmosphere and the character development. it feels like a realistic sibling story. and you can also make use of running around together hand in hand gameplay-wise. graphics are awesome for an indie title. switch to french with your favorite subtitles on for an even more immersive game.

    Игра норм конечно, интересно сделан сюжет, графика мне очень понравилась, персы живые, да и вообще играется интересно. Коротковата зато надоесть не успевает.. стэлс не задроченый, все проходится легко.
    Минусы: Отсутствие вариативности, слишком много скриптов которые тупо заставляют делать что сказали и никак иначе.    Игра норм конечно, интересно сделан сюжет, графика мне очень понравилась, персы живые, да и вообще играется интересно. Tiene una historia fascinante con una increíble ambientación que esta muy medida y ajustada a la temporalidad del juego. Tiene una historia fascinante con una increíble ambientación que esta muy medida y ajustada a la temporalidad del juego. Cuenta con unas mecánicas ajustadas y simples que hacen que el control del juego sea de fácil de aprender. El combate sin ser el objetivo del juego esta bien implementado y es suficiente para poder disfrutar. Creo que en verdad que la intención de los desarrolladores en poder vivir una de las muchas historias que se dieron en esa época mezclando a su vez realismo con ficción. En resumen A Plague Tale: Innocence podría ser uno de esos Indies que pasan desapercibidos pero creo que al ser tan ajustado y plantear todos sus valores de una forma tan adecuada ha podido destacar por encima de otros títulos. En mi caso me ha gustado mucho y creo que siempre lo tendré en mente cuando piense en aquella época que vivió Europa con las Peste Negra. Muy recomendado.… Expand

Хорошо показано средневековье 14 века ну и Инквизиция с её абсурдностью, фанатизмом и жестокостью. Рекомендую всем данное творение геймдева. Yes, the developers tried to add new mechanics as the story goes on by giving the player some new toys, but the problem is - it's all about throwing different stuff at different objects, that's it. No puzzles, no weapons except of Amicia's sling, no interesting interactions withGreat visuals, story and soundtrack, but they messed up the gameplay a little. First of all, it's repetative. Yes, the developers tried to add new mechanics as the story goes on by giving the player some new toys, but the problem is - it's all about throwing different stuff at different objects, that's it. No puzzles, no weapons except of Amicia's sling, no interesting interactions with companions and the worst of all - closer to the end they turned it into a bad action game. This part is not that long, but it's really frustrating because of how aiming works. Since it's meant for consoles, you have auto aim, so it's not challenging at all. Well, sometimes it is, but not because it requires some skill, but because mentioned auto aim decides to drop it's target sometimes, and if it happens, the game counts it as a missed shot even though the stone flies right through the enemie's head. It doesn't spoil the game completely as the plot is still great, but it harms the overall experience.
    It doesn't mean that pure stealth sections are flawless though. The guards are, guess what, blind and partially deaf. When you roam thorough high grass that doesn't cover you at all and make a lot of noise and even whisper, one have to be a legendary retard to not spot you, it just breaks the immersion.
    The other annoying thing is resources and how the need of them interrupts storytelling sometimes. Like you have a pretty dramatic scene, but you ruin it yourself by running all around like an idiot trying to find another piece of leather, great.

    So, yeah, in the end it feels like you have to dig through average and sometimes annoying gameplay just to get a new portion of well written story. With that good graphics, sound and script It could have been a really good interactive movie, but we got what we got.

    I'd give it it 7.5, but since I have to chose between yellow 7 and green 8, I'll give it 8.    … Expand

    Oyun sizi her bölüm farklı bir atmosfere sokarak sizi kendine hayran bırakıyor. Hikaye sunumu olarak oyun gerçekten çok başarılı. İki kardeşim zamanla gelişen ilişkisi oyunda çok iyi aktarılmış. Sadece kardeşiyle olan ilişkimiz değil diğer yan karakterlerle olan ilişkimizde çok iyi. Grafiklere gelirsek Unreal Engine 4 ü gerçekten çok iyi    Öncelikle Oyunun güzel yanlarından bahsedeyim.

Bu çeşitlilikte oyundaki bulmacalarla birleşince güzel bir deneyim sunuyor fakat bir süre sonra benzer işler yapmaktan mütevellit sıkılmaya başlıyorsunuz. Bölümlerde daha fazla mekanik çeşitlilik sağlanabilirdi. Loot olayı bu oyunda da var ve ben her ne kadar loot olayını sevmesem de bu oyunda çok güzel olmuş. Müzikler olarak gerçekten çok iyi iş çıkarmışlar. Sonuç olarak elimizde hikaye sunumu ve karakterlerin işlenişi açısından çok güzel bir oyun var.    … Expand

    Funny game, a bit "easy" since in sometimes the IA is tr*sh and the gameplay is a bit bored. After that visual graphics is amazing, the voice of characters too and immersion pretty well. Recomended for those who want to enjoy a story and not focus on the gameplay

    the gameplay is very simple and quite nice but sometimes specialy because of the level design you can get a bit frustrated with it. About the facial animations well they're bad just bad realy bad. I know that this is not a AAA game but they could have just spent a little bit more on it it would make a diference.

    Just Wow. This game is very vey good. The characters are well written. Love between Hugo and his sister is adorable, Storyline is nice but not extensive, "side characters" are good too. Music is one of the best of 2019

    For a long time I could not decide to play it. But it turned out to be a good game. Very reminiscent of TLoU.
    I don't like stealth games. But here "stealth" is not annoying, it is simple and interesting.
    Pros of the game: atmosphere, plot, beautiful world around.
    Cons: Character animation, slightly monotonous gameplay.

    I absolutely loved this game! It runs and looks beautiful, and it has a great story to go along with it! I Would have given this game a 10/10 if it wasn't for the fact that the stealth was somewhat tedious. Also this game is hard to replay because of how linear the game is. Besides those small issues I loved playing through this game!

Возможно, дабы эта игра стала около идеальной, нужно ввести более открытые локации, потому как на данный момент, игра ну крайне линейная, нам дают кучу всяких плюх для решения пространственных головоломок, однако из-за прямолинейности игры, пройти можно лишь одним путем, ну максимум двумя, и это реально сделало бы игру на порядок интересней, если у нас бы была возможность выбирать как нам идти.     A Plague Tale: Innocence no es un juego redondo, pero si que es un buen juego. En gran medida se divide en dos tipos de mecánicas: por un lado escenas de sigilo cuando nos enfrentamos a la inquisición, por otro una serie de puzzles cuando lidiamos con ratas. Y el resultado en ambas dimensiones quizás no sea el más profundo, pero si es razonablemente satisfactorio y, como no es un juegoA Plague Tale: Innocence no es un juego redondo, pero si que es un buen juego. Y todo esto metido en una historia ambientada en el siglo XIV frances, con un toque importante de magia y ocultismo (especialmente alquimia); una historia que, sin ser increíblemente original, si está bien contada, logrando emocionar con las peripecias de los dos hermanos y el duro mundo en el que viven.

    A nivel gráfico, el juego es espectacular, sencillamente. La realización de los personajes y los entornos es brillante, las animaciones, la expresividad, y el diseño del entorno resulta impactante y sugerente. Te mete de lleno en su mundo. Y el sonido no se queda corto, con una buena selección de música (aunque no tiene mucha presencia, sale cuando importa), buenos efectos y buenos actores de voz (al menos en inglés, que es como lo jugué). Y todo ello, en mi experiencia, viene casi carente de bugs.

    Its been a while since i started to look different types of games. This is one. Excelent history from Asobo Studios. The line of the game never crashes upon the fictional aspect of the history and the mechanics of the chracters. Is a stealth game, so if you enjoy this gender, this game is for you.

    Una nota negativa sono le animazioni facciali, che in un gioco così narrativo dovrebbero essere estremamente curate (il mio pensiero va subito ad Hellblade) ma invece sono basilari. Forse è anche per questo motivo che sono presenti poche scene di intermezzo e spesso non incentrate sui volti. Rivedibili anche i topi, che funzionano bene come massa ma se si osservano nel dettaglio sembrano telecomandati.
    Buone invece le animazioni dei personaggi.

    GAMEPLAY:
    Sebbene io non lo abbia giocato in quanto "PC gamer", penso che le somiglianze con The Last of Us siano molteplici ma tutto risulta ben contestualizzato e credibile.
    Molto bello come entrambi i protagonisti partecipino al gameplay, creando varietà, enigmi e situazioni originali.

    Io sono un amante dei giochi stealth e dei giochi narrativi, quindi questo è esattamente il connubio di cui avevo bisogno.
    Interessante l'uso della fionda e dei vari tipi di proiettili, necessari per cogliere di sorpresa o sfuggire a nemici che se no sarebbero imbattibili (non esiste combattimento corpo a corpo, e avrebbe anche poco senso utilizzando una ragazzina e un bambino).
    Se quindi lo stealth è semplicemente indispensabile nella maggior parte delle situazioni, bisogna far notare come l'AI nei nemici non sia sempre impeccabile. Se per quanto riguarda la "vista" sono ottimi, in quanto non basta passare lontano da loro per non essere notati, la loro capacità di ricerca degli intrusi è veramente carente ed è facile far perdere le proprie tracce. Allo stesso tempo però se non riesci a nasconderti sono veramente ostici, soprattutto quelli con attacchi a distanza.

    Sono presenti anche alcune boss fight, non estremamente interessanti ma abbastanza difficili.
    Molto più originali e piacevolmente impegnativi sono invece gli enigmi, che spesso riguardano l'uso della luce per allontanare i topi o la collaborazione con gli altri personaggi.

    Il difetto principale del gioco è secondo me nei troppi "suggerimenti" su quello che bisogna fare. Io ho completamente disattivato l'HUD, ma spesso ci sono degli indizi che ti fanno capire quale sia la cosa migliore da fare (ad esempio spesso si trovano i materiali per i proiettili speciali o compaiono dal nulla materiali utili quando li hai finiti). Non si può molto agire diversamente da come è stato pensato dagli sviluppatori e ogni tanto dà fastidio.

    STORIA:
    Come già detto la narrazione è un aspetto cruciale del gioco. Non è molto originale ma ha un eccellente ritmo e non stanca mai, anzi a volte si vorrebbe che fosse più approfondita. La storia sa emozionare, soprattutto grazie al rapporto tra i due fratelli.

    In conclusione, il gioco dura 10-15 ore a seconda dello stile di gioco e passano in fretta. È uno dei pochi titoli in cui non ho avvertito un inizio di noia verso la fine della storia. Consigliato praticamente a tutti, anche se non è esente da difetti (piccoli).

    An excellent game. Would be a 9 if the English voice acting wasn’t so bad. The atmosphere in this game is perfect, and you care for each of the characters. Really looking forward to the sequel.

    I've never played a game set during a plague in medieval times. It's a very unique setting and I think a lot of my positive impressions are due to this. The game overall is enjoyable, though it is *very* easy. Solutions to puzzles don't take more than 5 minutes to figure out. Solutions to stealth segments are very clearly telegraphed to the player. I never once had to worry aboutI've never played a game set during a plague in medieval times. It's a very unique setting and I think a lot of my positive impressions are due to this. I never once had to worry about conserving ammo or the items required to craft ammo. The only times I died were due to me being completely oblivious about the situation.

    I wish stealth was pushed more onto the player as well. For the vast majority of enemy encounters, knocking them with a couple slingshot hits is the easiest and quickest way to get done with a chapter. Why would I choose to be stealthy when I can practically run past the level? Granted, there are sequences where you *have* to be stealthy, but these are few and far between. This is baby's first stealth game for sure.

    The story is decent. It is carried by the interactions and relationship between Amicia and Hugo. Over the course of the game you feel their bond grow bigger and stronger, as well as your own desire to protect Hugo. Other characters are also likeable, but the voice acting for one of them makes it tough to enjoy their presence. Most voice actors did a great job though.

    The dialogue can be cringey at times, and downright goose-bumps inducing at others.

    What's most surprising to me is how an unknown game developer was able to push out a game this good. I'm excited to see what they put out next.

    I would definitely recommend this game for someone who wants a unique narrative experience, but not really for someone who wants a good gaming experience.

    Playing into the 13 hours of Plague, I found it felt wrong to play the game on one sitting because of its heavily written plot. I took time and rest between chapters and close the game and continue on the next day or week, because it felt right to process the events and enjoy the characters. I found the storytelling similar to The Last of Us (the first one) through the conversations between the siblings, Amicia and Hugo – and a little bit of the awkwardness and humor of God of War’s Kratos and Atreus.

    The environment and story entail Skyrim village meets Game of Thrones political devices, with TLOU crafting system and stealth. The characters eventually meet a set of friends along the way around their same age. It felt appropriate that no adults became part of the main characters because everyone had their skill to offer.

    Graphics are stunning. For someone sporting an RX570, this game had no hiccups and looked like I played on its best. Maybe the linear storyline and limited environment were utilized to be inclusive of older GPUs but I had no worries playing it despite my aged GPU. Characters were designed beautifully, similar to Square Enix designs in their faces. My only issue was that Amicia, the main playable character, wore braids. I thought it’s becoming too much of the female MC standard among this generation’s games; see Lightning (FFXIII) and Aloy (Horizon: Zero Dawn).

    Hugo de Rune, the sickly younger brother who the main character is not close with, is the first adorable younger kid in a game I’ve seen. He may be whiny sometimes, but it was logical and right for his age, minus the bursts of annoy.

    On another hand, orchestra music fit the French Inquisition well of the 1300s, with everything available for casual strolling and combat. I found it jived along similar to TLOU’s beautiful scoring while exploring the limited environment of the villages, churches, farms, and plague-ridden rat worlds.

    On the con side, combat is not the strong suit of Plague because of its repetitiveness and some mechanics not being used up all in the end. I just wished most of the combat mechanics and materials are introduced earlier on rather than learning the alchemy of it all by the chapter.

    I enjoyed Plague Tale: Innocence enough to say that this felt like a complete game. Even if the sequel is out and I might soon play, I thought that the whole of Innocence is a historical stealth-action masterpiece for its time and genre.

    Very interesting story! Its compelling and fascinating. The gameplay is good, but the story is what really kept me playing. A bit too much sneaking around for my liking, but it had enough change in gameplay throughout that I didnt mind too much.

    Dari awal sampai akhir, a plague tale innocence mempunyai suasana yang sangat bagus, tema, musik, dan grafis sangat mendukung hal tersebut. Dari segi gameplay, kebanyakan cuma jalan dan stealth saja, ada beberapa boss battle yang membuatnya tidak terlalu monoton. Untuk cerita, pada awalnya lumayan bagus, tetapi lama kelamaan bisa dibilang ceritanya makin tidak logis.

    Визуал 9/10

    Эта игра с точки зрения визуала просто прекрасна, каждая локация будь это замок или поле битвы сделаны на высшем уровне. Прекрасно передана эпоха тех времен. Также отмечу прекрасные кат сцены. Из плохого очень маленький пул противников 4-5 скинов на всю игру протяженность которой +10 часов.

    Звук 8/10

    Звуковое сопровождение на протяжение всего прохождения не было просто песенкой на фоне, оно великолепно дополняло атмосферу.

    Сюжет 7.5/10

    Сюжет же не является чем-то сверх интересным, но вкупе с визуалом он заставляет переживать за героев. Но побег Хьюго является вершиной абсурда на протяжении всей игры.

    Лвл Дизайн 8/10

А также не забывая о способностях напарников героя перед тобой должен открыться огромный мир вариантов убийств врагов. Но ты не можешь их использовать. Вся игра это интерактивное кино, где ты по скрипту выполняешь все что тебе говорит большой брат разработчик, только в двух-трех локациях под конец игры ты можешь по своему желанию выбрать как убить противников.     My partner played this game in 2021 and completed it, I helped her with a few sections and even though I had also planned to play this game at some point, I did not have an idea of when that would actually be. Fast forward to the beginning of 2022 and I decided to finally scratch this one off the list, especially knowing that a sequel is due to arrive later in the year.

Fast forward to the beginning of 2022 and I decided to finally scratch this one off the list, especially knowing that a sequel is due to arrive later in the year.

    Story - The plot itself is interesting enough to pull you along, the land of France has been infested with a plague of rats and it is about a Sister and Brother who has their world, their home and their family torn upside down due to this which leads to a fight for survival. What really sells me is the relationship between Amicia and Hugo, Sister and Brother, their relationship growth is rather predictable but I loved these two together and I wanted nothing more than to ensure Amicia protected Hugo. You also run into other characters as you go and a lot of them are very likable, even though some got more development then others, because it was so hard to find characters that Amicia and Hugo could trust, latching onto these guys was very easy. Again, the overall plot is all good, but the absolute winner is the characters, especially Amicia and Hugo.

    Gameplay - You are looking at very limited combat here, stealth is the focus, for some they would say that is not acceptable (and some negative reviews clearly do), but I will say it loud and clear, don't go into this game expecting intricate combat because that is not the purpose here. You are playing as a young adult who is there to look after her little brother, so your job is to sneak passed enemies, distract them, and use crafting materials at your disposal to survive. There are elements of combat here like a dodge mechanic and using a sling to attack enemies with rocks and such, but this is not a game where you are all powerful. Your enemies are war trained knights, as well as rats who you also need to evade, puzzle elements are implemented here which you need to solve to get by, doing so unsuccessfully usually results in an instant death to Amicia or whoever is accompanying her, there is no health bar, you might think that makes the game very hard, but if you go in with the mindset of sneaking and not trying to brute force your way through, you will have a much easier time. I think what the game wants you to do is done well and I didn't have any major complaints on the gameplay side of things.

    Graphics - It is a very beautiful game, the game takes place in a 1300s France so you get some beautiful landscapes but the darker stuff is very dark, you may be trying to slip paste a horde of bloodthirsty rats to then walking along a battlefield riddled with dead bodies all over the place, this is a dark game and intended for mature audiences only.

    Collectibles and customization - You do have customization in this game like upgrading your sling, or certain items you can use to get by, you find crafting materials as you go and I did manage to upgrade everything except one thing by the end of the game. On top of that, you do have several pieces of collectibles that you can pick up like flowers that Hugo loves, these include fun little descriptions and information which I really enjoyed.

    Performance - I played on a fairly decent custom built PC and no major issues here, I had only frame drops whenever I got an achievement but that is about it.

    Final Rating - I had a wonderful time with this game, felt connected to the story and it's characters the whole way through, the gameplay is exactly what I expected to be, its about survival and protecting the ones closest to you (especially Hugo). It is a beautifully dark game with some a really impressive soundtrack, and with a sequel on the way, there is no better time to play the game than right now.    … Expand

    I got this masterpiece on a steam sale just thinking "well a couple of euros is nothing, i get to try something different than Wittcher 3, why not?" One of the best decisions i've made. Graphics are just 9/10, really gorgeous and dark... Enviorment is also a 9/10, i really felt every single tension and fear the characters felt Gameplay was ok, simple, accomplished what    Score: 8.7

    THe puzzles were also cool but not that great

    The story was awsome up until the end where it got a bit too crazy for me, but this may be attributed to me thinking in the beggining of the game that this would be fairly grounded game, no fantasy crap, i tought they wanted my brother because of some real world reason (royal blood or something)
    If i went in knowing that this game would have some fantasy elements where the kid can control the rats and all that, maybe i wouldn't feel this way.

    Nonetheless, recomend it 100%

    Comparto audio piacevole, Doppiatori che hanno dato più vita ai personaggi. Mi piacerebbe vedere questo titolo doppiato anche in Italiano, ma quello inglese mi ha già super soddisfatto.
    Se non erro questo studio ha realizzato questo titolo pur non avendo un grandissimo budget, wow!
    Concludo col dire che è uno straordinario titolo, complimenti ai creatori.

    The story is so important in such a game as this and it does fall short in some departments, the last act is very rushed i hate when so many games do this and its so noticeable.
    The graphics are amazing tho, and the level design is almost everytime put so well together i wouldn t even need a guide.

    Very fun game, the visuals are artistically georgeus, story is solid, emotions are there. Gameplay is a little bit lacking but still. Solid.

    The game has a beautiful atmosphere , spectacular soundtrack , my only problem might be the final villain which is quite generic , that does not detract from the enjoyment of this game .
    One more thing , what a    A singleplayer by excellence, a beautiful story of two brothers in the midst of various calamities, plague, plague of rats to which is added the terror of the inquisition.

    TL;DR: this is a very good game, but is deeply flawed by a plethora of immersion breaking bugs and poorly designed/ forced puzzle elements which serve no purpose but to make the game slower.

    the game has beautiful graphics and narrative, a dark and well paced setting, but struggles with control scheme issues and buggy/inconsistent npc behavior. in almost every situation, the game visually presents a wealth of decision making and options to you, yet only accepts a very narrow and often illogical solution to each puzzle. often, a task is designated to a specific ally to make the puzzle harder when it's literally just a lever and any one of the npcs could have pulled it, and even at that, it seems that many of the allies don't serve any purpose in the story. we have one girl who is literally unable to open doors, but can unlock them, and there is no point in the game where it serves a purpose to the puzzles. once we meet her though, suddenly every door is locked and she has to go up to it before we can enter. as the game progresses, these forced narrative issues become more and more problematic.

    the largest problem with this is that the npcs get stuck to the point where it's impossible to tell if we make the right decisions in a given puzzle, because your ally's scripted action to complete the next step doesn't activate for a full 10 minutes of walking back and forth. often, the game wants you to hit very specific switches or objectives, but the icons which lead you to those objectives won't appear when you are staring directly at them. it's like when a web app is broken so the cursor disappears whenever i'm hovering over a button that needs to be pressed. that said, the game is still playable and quite enjoyable, but i find myself frustrated with the lack of finish and bug checking that really smears an otherwise very solid game.    … Expand

    I absolutely loved the setting, the music, and the graphics of the game. Everytime I played the game, I was sucked into the atmosphere of 13th Century France during the black plague and the Spanish inquisition. The developers definitely set the mood very well. I was able to play on ultra settings and I noticed how beautiful the plants in the forest were, the medieval village buildings, andI absolutely loved the setting, the music, and the graphics of the game. Everytime I played the game, I was sucked into the atmosphere of 13th Century France during the black plague and the Spanish inquisition. The developers definitely set the mood very well. I was able to play on ultra settings and I noticed how beautiful the plants in the forest were, the medieval village buildings, and the light that reflected on them. I’m impressed. The voice acting was very good. Everyone talks in a very believable french accent and believable emotion into the words they say. There were some segments where people were very angry at a situation and I could feel it. There is a 5 year old boy named Hugo in about 90% of the game and you will grow to love him. He’s such a cute character.

    The story is heartbreaking and memorable. There were lots of characters you felt attached to as the game progressed until they suddenly died. The spanishj inquistition soldiers straight up murdered people and the game showed people’s last moments before they were slaughtered. The music was excellent. The game loves to use a soft violin that plays sadly in the background because of how terrible the situation is during this time in France. I noticed when you’re in a dark creepy place that hasn’t been discovered in decades, the music turns creepy. When an enemy comes trying to kill your character, the music gets super tense. It does a very good job setting the mood during the situation.

    The gameplay was decent but there were very frustrating segments that could have been better. The most frustrating part of the game was the rolling cart and archer segment. You AI controlled companion slowly moves a cart while a dozen or so archers are hurling arrows at your character. The arrows are instant death. You’re supposed to get behind the cart until you;re clear of the arrows at a gate at the end. The problem is, there are soldiers with swords also running towards you at the same time mixed with archers. Some of the archers has sights on you from far away at a different angle and you can’t kill them because there are those instant kill arrows on one side and soldiers running with their swords at you at the same time. I did not realize that there was one lone archer you were supposed to kill at a very far angle that can instant kill you for a really long time. I died over a dozen times at this segment that should only take 5 minutes but took maybe almost an hour.

    I really like how the game rewards you for going off an alleyway with extra material to upgrade your weapons or items. Sometimes they even lead to a small cutscene where you learn something new. The game also specifically marks spots in white to let you know what can be climbed over. It’s such a small thing but I appreciate it.

    There was another frustrating part where there was a combination of slow and quick soldiers. On one side of the map there is a slow soldier walking with a giant sword and thte other side a character running towards you. Thet game is really bad at indicating what kind of enemy you;re fighting with unless you move the camera or or walk out of the corner. I died a lot in this segment.

    See a pattern? The game is really bad at open court areas where you have to deal with multiple threats at once. You can’t see the enemy unless you move your camera or physically move your character where you can see the enemy in the far corner running at you. Unless you memorize where each type of enemy comes at you, you will die at least the first couple of times of that segment.

    There is a little too much escorting your helpless AI companion in this game. You can’t leave them alone or they’ll die and you have to babysit them if you walk off because a soldier will find them and kill them. I would say about 75% is like this.

    I loved the boss fights. The final boss comes straight from a marvel movie or a crazy bayonetta boss fight and I loved it. I hope the sequel comes with a boss rush mode and adds more bosses like these.

    I really like how the game does not have loading screens. As you progress through the level, it is seamless. There is a small lag for 2-3 seconds as it loads the next segment of the level, and that’s it. It was very smooth in terms of going through each segment.

    The replayability is very low i feel. There is no in-game incentive to replay the game after the credits. There is no new game plus. There is no boss rush or arena mode, but the game could definitely benefited from it. There are collectibles and the only good thing about them is you learn a little bit about history and the character’s opinion about them. It gives a small insight about what they feel about things and the things people used during that time.

    Overall i enjoyed this game minus the frustrating segments mentioned above and the lack of replayability. I love this word and its characters and im really excited for the sequel.    … Expand

    A Plague Tale: Innocence makes a commendable effort to mask its somewhat routine gameplay, and in the end, it wins you over with captivating atmosphere, great music, likeable main characters and nice visuals. If you like cinematic games, this stroll through Dark Ages is worth it.
