Street Fighter 6: Years 1-2 Fighters Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 isn't just a successful port; it's an evolution of the genre that sets new standards for accessibility and fun. Exclusive modes prove that hardware innovation can create truly new gameplay experiences without sacrificing the essence that makes a franchise special—something that's only possible with Nintendo at the helm.

Street Fighter 6 is an absolute delight on Nintendo Switch 2, acting as a wonderful launch title that has an almost infinite amount of fun to offer. With near-flawless performance despite some frame rate shortcomings in World Tour, this is an easy recommendation to any Switch 2 owner, fighting game fan or not.

Street Fighter 6: Years 1-2 Fighters Edition does something very right with the series. It features the classic action we know and love and introduces an RPG-like story mode. It looks great, plays well, and even has a happy feel to it. When did fighting become to much fun? Ready? Fight!

Street Fighter 6: Years 1–2 Fighters Edition marks the premiere of the Street Fighter series on the Nintendo Switch 2 and it absolutely could not be more of a rocking success. The abundance of content and game modes, which makes this the most complete version of Street Fighter 6, will keep players of all kinds with their eyes and hands on the game, while its visual and technical performance are stellar, bringing this version close to the highest graphical standards. Less than one month into the Switch 2, Capcom could not have started its path in a better way on Nintendo's brand new console.

Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition could easily become the definitive version for a lot of people – myself included – as it lets us play with current-gen quality while enjoying all the conveniences of the Switch 2. It may not be the most visually impressive version of Street Fighter 6, which doesn’t take away from its merit as a brilliant port, but it’s the only one that lets you practically jump into a quick ranked match during a family lunch.

Street Fighter 6 still has so much to give, and is perfectly suited tothe Switch 2 Despite a few issues with world tour, it's still a banger.

Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition is an example of taking a great game, bringing it to a platform with minimal compromises on the TV screen, and putting it in the palm of your hand to take on the go. Would I like the Switch 2 exclusive modes to be more robust? Sure. Do I wish the World Tour mode didn’t come with some performance hitches? Of course. Would I like someone to make a Switch 2 controller with a competent D-pad? Absolutely. Ultimately this is the best possible way to start the Switch 2 launch: with a re-introduction to the godfather of fighting games.

Street Fighter 6: Years 1-2 Fighter’s Edition provides gamers with a very sturdy fighting experience on this new console from Nintendo. It does suffer from a couple of graphical stumbles, and Joy-Con mini-games are more filler than content, but it’s nice that Capcom has provided a great way to showcase the capabilities of this console with their hit game.

Bundling up the base game along with two years' worth of characters, stages and more, Street Fighter 6: Years 1-2 Fighters Edition is a must-have for fighting game fans who have picked up a Switch 2. While new modes such as Gyro Battle and Calorie Contest are a bit gimmicky, the only real disappointment here is fights in World Tour playing out at 30fps.

Street Fighter 6 for Switch 2 is everything a fan of the series could hope for, now also in handheld format and with all the extras released so far. The game looks spectacular, especially in handheld mode, although some visual adjustments are noticeable that, ultimately, don't affect the experience.

Street Fighter 6: Years 1-2 Fighters Edition is a great title all around and an excellent launch title for Nintendo's new system. Battle Hub may be silly, but it has lots more personality and more to do than most other titles do in their online lobbies. Fighting Ground does a great job of showing off the new roster and improvements to the fighting engine, while placing an equal amount of attention on both offline and online players. World Tour makes for a slightly nonsensical yet addictive adventure that can serve as a full-fledged Street Fighter RPG. All of this comes together with an absolutely solid presentation if you ignore the fights in World Tour mode. That one issue causes the score to go lower than what we originally gave the game when it came out two years ago. Here's hoping that Capcom patches the issues soon to place this version on par with the other console and PC releases.

The work Capcom has done on the Switch 2 version of Street Fighter 6 is commendable. The game is impressive in classic fights, to the point of looking more refined than the PS4 version, and the online experience currently feels just as solid as on other platforms. It's a pity about the slightly higher latency compared to other versions, and a World Tour mode that isn’t as polished or optimized as the rest of the game—otherwise, this would have been a truly flawless port of one of the best fighting games ever made.

Street Fighter 6 is the first great fighting game on Switch 2, which it's almost on par with other versions: very colorful and fluid graphics, even with cuts in detail, but it offers an equally fun experience, online included. Too bad that details such as the 30 fps in World Tour, prevent it from shining more.

Street Fighter VI: Years 1-2 Fighters Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 is a solid title that stands out for its precise and varied gameplay. Although the technical performance shows slight limitations in docked mode compared to handheld mode, this doesn’t overshadow an overall experience that remains remarkable.

Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 is a port that does Capcom’s latest fighting game justice. The game is feature complete here, with a combined 26 characters from the base roster and two years of DLC. The single player World Tour mode leaves much to be desired in terms of performance, but the game runs solidly where it counts - namely in Arcade mode, offline versus, and online matches.

Street Fighter 6 for Switch 2 is mostly an excellent port on one of the best figthing games for the current generation. But for some strange reason World Tour mode battles suffer from worse frame rate than rest of the game, which is a bit of shame on otherwise solid package.

A return to form for Street Fighter and, by extent, an excellent return to Nintendo platforms with the latest in Capcom’s fighting series. Street Fighter 6 comes with tons of modes that will satisfy the hardcore crowd and is equally the perfect entry for the casual fan or newbie, too, with a laidback RPG-lite mode that is ideal for handheld play, although may become tedious for others. Plenty of unique characters both old and new, featuring brilliant designs and styles, make this one of the most appealing entries in years, despite the lack of unlockable costumes. Street Fighter 6 may have some performance issues at times, but there are far more pros than cons with this portable edition of a top tier fighting game.

Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 offers incredible value and delivers a great portable and online experience on the console, but it isn’t the best way to get the full experience thanks to some technical issues. The online and core gameplay hold up as they should, though, and that’s what matters the most in games like this. If you already own Street Fighter 6 on another platform and just want to practice on or play on the go, the Switch 2 version is an easy recommendation. Just don’t bother with buying this to play World Tour.

Despite some inconsistent framerate issues in certain modes, Street Fighter 6 Year 1+2 Edition is a fantastic package, playing brilliantly on Nintendo's new system and showcases that the console can run with the big boys when it comes to line-up and performance. The magic of Street Fighter remains strong and shows no sign of slowing down here.

Street Fighter 6: Year 1-2 Fighters Edition arrives on Switch 2 with a surprisingly solid porting, keeping the 60fps fluidity intact and making the experience extremely enjoyable on the go. With all the characters from the first two seasons already included, and a truly convincing pad in hand experience, it proves to be a worthwhile purchase for those who want to train or have fun anywhere, albeit with a few technical stumbles in the World Tour and unsuccessful secondary features.

Street Fighter 6 on Switch 2 is a cracker, and in portable mode, it could well become my preferred way to play this fantastic entry in Capcom's storied franchise. The only fly in the ointment with this port is 30fps fights in World Tour. It's a shame, and it's 100% gonna be a dealbreaker for some. But if you can overlook that, the rest of what's here is crisp, clean, and as slick as we could have ever hoped. All other modes are fully featured and running at 60fps, and online works a treat.
