Jun 10, 2026Resident Evil 7 was the revitalisation the franchise needed, with everything suggesting that it may still be one of the best survival horror games in the series thanks to its first-person perspective that brings a sense of dread unlike anything felt before. Played in Switch 2’s handheld format, too, it is a whole other kind of nightmare that becomes the definitive horror pick for the system.

May 13, 2026The need to refresh the series has pushed us to a level of ugliness never before (or since) achieved in RE game. The Baker family makes for excellent and unsettling antagonists, and the setting is one of the most disgusting places in gaming history.

May 10, 2026Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition is a very competent port of an amazing game that shows the Switch 2 can handle such endeavours without issues. Playing RE7 on the go feels like the game has finally taken a much welcome step forward when it comes to atmosphere and immersion, and the experience really benefits from being played as a handheld game and with a headset. On top of that, the inclusion of its DLCs with Gold Edition make this an unmissable release.
