Jun 24, 2026Mina the Hollower is a highly engaging game that features exploration without hand holding, rewarding players at nearly every turn. It also offers a surprisingly deep and challenging combat system that belies its appearance. Venturing through the many regions of Tenebrous Isle is a delight that invites players to spend countless hours alongside this courageous mouse, although certain aspects may occasionally lead to frustration. Even so, it remains a highly recommended and thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The aesthetics, puzzles, and atmosphere are all there for us to enjoy it as if it were the ’90s, an era that Yacht Club Games manages to represent in the modern age almost perfectly. While the difficulty can be overly demanding at certain points, the game’s length and the charisma it radiates make it one of the GOTY contenders of 2026.
