Feb 11, 2026Even if replaying scenes in a different way exposes the reality that you rarely have significant influence, Dispatch sends you away with a smile on your face and a hankering for more from Adhoc.

Jan 30, 2026Dispatch is an instant benchmark for narrative adventures. Its fabulous technical execution, gameplay consistent with the narrative, and above all, its enormous success in entertaining us like the best of series, make it one of the most remarkable games of recent months. And with its port for Nintendo Switch 2, we have the best possible version... if you can forgive its absurd censorship.

Jan 28, 2026Thanks to the sublime writing, fantastic voiceovers, and a level of animation you'd usually expect from a big-budget streaming series, Dispatch is the kind of superhero drama that draws you in with the sexy characters and funny one-liners, and hooks you until the bitter end with the potential of its ever-changing arcs. The lack of any visual censorship options on Switch is a strange one, and some will undoubtedly find things lacking in the gameplay department, but I'm already gearing myself up for a potential 'season 2'. It won't be for everyone, but if you're like me and it clicks, it really clicks. Is it too soon for a 'rewatch'?

Apr 2, 2026Brilliant storytelling, voice work, and production values are undercut on Switch by completely unnecessary forced censorship and gameplay that can feel tangential.

Jan 28, 2026Dispatch delivers one of the strongest superhero stories in recent years, blending sharp writing, memorable characters, and stylish presentation. While the Switch 2 version runs smoothly and looks great, heavy visual censorship, limited interactivity, and a lack of player control over mission outcomes make it a compromised way to experience an otherwise excellent game.

Mar 30, 2026Dispatch is a generally well-crafted game with a fun storyline, interesting characters, and clever decision-making mechanics. The dispatch minigame at its core is also genuinely fun, but the game overall would benefit from the possibility of failure to give it higher stakes and make your effort feel truly impactful.

Jan 28, 2026Dispatch feels right at home on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, perfectly suiting portable play with touch controls. While I would've enjoyed playing the episodes and discussing them with friends back in November, I'm glad I finally got to see it through to the end on my own terms over a weekend. While the forced visual censorship is unfortunate on both Switch systems, my major issues with Dispatch right now lie in how the gameplay sections don't feel as well integrated into the narrative until the finale, and also the video bitrate. Now, release an artbook, physical release, and print versions of the in-game comics, please.

Jan 28, 2026Unfortunately, the game on Switch has suffered censorship by Nintendo, and that’s something we can’t overlook in the final rating. It’s a sign of disrespect toward the original work and casts doubt on whether this medium can truly be regarded as a form of art.
