    If you’re a fan of the late DJ himself, well this game is a no-brainer. He was clearly a great talent and the music is outstanding. But for everyone else, AVICII Invector: Encore Edition on Meta Quest 2 is still worth strapping on the VR headset and giving a go. The music is great and the gameplay is addictive and fun. If you like rhythm games but you don’t want to sweat (or risk accidentally bonking your family in the head), AVICII Invector: Encore Edition’s chill EDM vibe is the VR experience you’re waiting for.

    Aviici Invector: Encore Edition on Oculus Quest 2 is a game made to celebrate Bergling's talent, and remember his creations. It's pretty to look at, sounds amazing, and plays well.

    If you’re a fan of AVICII, then this game is a no-brainer. For the rest of us, this AVICII Invector: Encore Edition is still worth strapping your Quest on for and losing yourself in the bass thumping neon.

    Were this a genre underserved in VR it might be easier to overlook those shortcomings, but the medium isn’t exactly lacking in groundbreaking music experiences. With more attention paid to what makes the platform tick this could have been a truly unique new way to experience Avicii’s music. As it stands, this is simply another opportunity to play a good game that could have been much, much more.

    Avicii Invector: Encore Edition is nothing new, it’s existed in flat screen formats for a while, but in VR, it takes on a new form that is ultimately the pinnacle of what this game can be and is a fitting tribute to the late DJ whose library is showcased throughout the levels.
