May 31, 2013World War Z crashed on us once and there appears to be an issue among some Android players, but by and large, it's an impressively-made shooter and collect-a-thon that manages to avoid the dreaded movie game curse. You'll have to pay $4.99 to download it, and we feel it's worth the money, especially if you're in need of a zombie fix.
-
Jun 20, 2013World War Z is a very interesting tie-in, a game that tells a story different from the movie it's based on and delivers a compelling, engaging experience.
-
Aug 7, 2013It's getting closer to the "perfect shooter formula" on touch devices. It's still got some issues, but it's a great way to keep on enjoying the movie experience.
-
Jul 4, 2013If you want a simple adventure game with lots of shooting then World War Z is a fine example of a movie license turned into a good mobile game. Getting a side story to the movie and a nostalgic trip back to when security guards scribbled their passwords on walls and puzzles where simple, is rather enjoyable. Don’t expect to get blown away by this game, but don’t expect to feel bad for buying it either.
-
Jun 11, 2013It may not be a deadly good time, but it can certainly be a great time sink, pending your bar for frustration is high enough.
-
Jun 4, 2013World War Z is an entertaining film-inspired game, even if its combat system could use some polish.
-
May 31, 2013World War Z could dramatically improve its controls, but that irritating flaw doesn’t ruin the entire experience. There is a visceral thrill to mowing down as many zombies as possible, but thankfully the developers bring much more depth to the overall proceedings.
-
Jun 10, 2013For every inspired touch and clever control system World War Z delivers, it serves up a dull search sequence or terrible melee episode to cancel them out. There's a good game in there, but in its current state, this zombie shooter is only half alive.
-
Jun 3, 2013Frustrating in places and sometimes lacking in polish, World War Z is still an entertaining movie tie-in.
-
Jun 26, 2013A fairly mediocre action-adventure that could have been so much better. It looks pretty nice but there's not a lot of variety to the visuals and the combat, especially melee, is fairly uninteresting.
-
May 30, 2013Buggier than the virulant masses that besiege you, frustrating and, story-wise, uninspiring, this isn't worth anyone's time or money.
