Feb 25, 2011Vampire Origins provides solid shoot'em up action while avoiding the stale boring game play that so many titles in this genre reach. An achievement system through Crystal With good graphics, a respectable sound track, and complex puzzles, it's an easy recommendation for casual and hardcore gamer alike.

Feb 25, 2011Vampire Origins isn't perfect, but it's still a fun, quick paced action game that's well worth playing through to the end.
-
Feb 25, 2011With the right control setting, Vampire Origins is an exciting adventure that has the flavour of vampire folklore without getting bogged down in its mythos.
-
Feb 25, 2011Though it's a little short and feels cheap in a couple of spots, Vampire Origins doesn't suck or bite. Ha!
-
Feb 25, 2011Comes with nice graphics, fresh visuals and an immediate gameplay, enriched by an intuitive and simple control system. Maybe too simple: you can shot your enemies just by "touching" them, while the one-on-one fights work like a sort of quick time events sequence. A good action game, overall, but surely not the best one.

Feb 25, 2011Personally, having had a historical fondness to this sort of formula from early Playstation games, I actually enjoyed the gameplay setting and found the adventure sequences to be well done. That said, I can see how it would seem dated, and tap to shoot mechanic is almost never a positive.

Feb 25, 2011The environments are beautiful and eerie, but there's not much fun to be found here. The gameplay gets stale very quickly (especially the boss battles), and the controls (both touch and virtual joystick) can be incredibly frustrating at times.
-
Feb 25, 2011Fun while it lasts. The controls need a lot of tweaking, and the swiping needs a ton of work in terms of sensitivity. I had high hopes for this game, and while it still contains an interesting storyline, the fundamentals need some tweaking.
-
Feb 25, 2011The price though is the main killer issue here. You just don't get enough nag for your buck, and in a crowded AppStore that's a big problem.
