Get your motor running. Head out on the highway. Then slaughter endless hordes of robots with your giant robot axe, if you can stay awake.

Transformers: Age of Extinction is simply the latest tie-in game that uses the name of the movie without offering something really exciting and innovative. The game has a horrid gameplay and the in-app purchases are extremely annoying.

Slicing and shooting your way through missions and the sadly few enemy types is actually fun. Even better when you get to play as one of your favorite Transformers (who are sadly a pain to get), who all look excellent. Which is weird because the environments are bland and basic. As it stands the free-to-play model fits the game well, because odds are you won't be sticking with it for very long. You'll probably play it until your hype for the movie fades, which will probably be shortly after watching it. It's a decent time waster for Transformer fans. Expand
