Dec 4, 2024Total War: Empire is one of the best strategy games I've ever played on mobile. It stays true to the franchise principles, it's historically accurate, but it has a lot of requirements in terms of hardware. If you can play it, you'll love it; if you can't play it, you'd better buy a new phone.

Dec 12, 2024It was buggy on its release 15 years ago and is consistent with that today, with occasional crashes and visual glitches even on a recent iPad Pro. It does work though and it’s a lot of game – and a chunky 10GB download – to take with you on the train, even if its touchscreen controls can sometimes be a bit fiddly.
