    I wouldn't turn down a few more defensive maneuvers, but on the whole, this is a cheerful, aggressive shooter with plenty of thrills. Recommended.

    In my opinion, it's a bit of a mess, lacking any real tie in to the movie, or reality. It does have a great 80's inspired sound track, though, and that just about covers the price of admission for me.

    A quicker, more hectic on-rails shooter than the original, Top Gun 2 just can't shake the annoying boss battles and hard to see enemy fire from its tailpipe.

    A fast paced action shooter which fulfils a need for fans of classics such as Afterburner. It's not going to blow you away with originality, and there are a few flaws that may put you off. But, the intense action and rocking soundtrack can be an addictive formula, if you've got the skills!

    Top Gun 2 had more than enough time to learn and grow after the first title, but the flashier visuals can't make up for a game that feels too loose to enjoy.
