The simple gameplay in Tiny Wings is sublime, but there's an intangible aspect to it that makes it a total joy to play.

Tiny Wings HD is the perfect complement for one of the games that have demonstrated a new winning formula of gaming on mobile devices: simplicity, accessibility and ability to play with one last finger.

Those already addicted to Tiny Wings' charm will love the new levels, while those still on the fence couldn't have asked for a better invitation to join in.

If you love casual fast paced games with a cute factor Tiny Wings is a must have. The action flows quite smoothly, and the graphics are amazing and change dynamically as day turns to night.

To glide from sunup to sundown. Here's the simple, but attractive pitch of Tiny Wings, rising star of the App Store who kicked off Angry Birds from the number one slot of the charts. Its principle is ridiculously simple: press the screen, and your bird will gain momentum. As soon as you let go, it glides. But you'll have to time your presses well with the random hills of the backgrounds in order to go as fast and as far as you can, and to score as much points as possible. But even though those hills are never the same thanks to their randomized generation, it's still becoming repetitive sooner or later; which is the main shortcoming of the game. With some added features, play modes and ideas, it could have been far more magical.

The constantly changing landscape removes the whole bored-after-four-days issue, while the clumsy sounds and overall image of the bird give this game its innocence. A real stretch from the norm of iOS games today, Tiny Wings is a slow and relaxing, yet competitive game that can be seen as the gift that keeps on giving. Expand

While it's unique, quirky and quite endearing after about an hour you'll have the achievement strategies figured out but will be frustrated at constantly starting right back at the start again, and again, and again... This game created so many clones and regardless if it is that in depth they managed to make a game that is still fun to play and honestly that I wish I could get on an android device. I miss having those times of playing these games and it makes me want to get my old iphone and download games like this. Unfortunately I don't have access to a lot of that anymore and I will just have to remember this game through clones and memories. The textures on this game were also fantastic. Honestly, one of the more original and fun games on mobile devices. Rest in peace Android users. Expand

Some games, like Doodle Jump, place a phony "WARNING" on their download pages, saying that the app is very addicting. Tiny Wings may be the only game I have found that actually needs that warning. Upon app startup, you can play instantaneously, and, thanks partially to relatively short play sessions, Tiny Wings is nearly impossible to put down. The gameplay can be infuriating when you first start playing, but once you get the hang of timing your controls exactly, you'll keep wanting to accept the game's challenge to beat your old highscore. Speaking of highscores, Tiny Wings - which costs only 99 cents, by the way - is Game Center-integrated, which is a big plus. And although some claim that Tiny Wings is let down by having only one game mode, they fail to realize that since there are different sets of highscores for different aspects of the game (i.e. flying the farthest distance or making the highest jumps), you can concentrate different play sessions on specific aspects, which, in a sense, provide the game with more than one mode. The artwork of Tiny Wings is incredible, full of beautiful hills and valleys, and with dynamic changes in the sky as the Sun gradually rises and sets throughout play. Tiny Wings may, at first glance, appear simple, but this is part of what makes it such a fun - and addicting - experience. Expand
