Mar 10, 2011It's no Angry Birds - because it's not trying to be. Instead, it's a cheerful and attractive twist on an always-popular gameplay mechanic that's already a deserved hit with casual gaming fans. It's more Placid Bird Suffused With A Sense Of Innocent Child-Like Wonder.

Feb 28, 2011Tiny Wings is hideously addictive, supremely cute, and at 59 pence you'll play it for hours and never really know why. Such is the way atop the cloud-hidden peak of the App Store.

Mar 16, 2011To glide from sunup to sundown. Here's the simple, but attractive pitch of Tiny Wings, rising star of the App Store who kicked off Angry Birds from the number one slot of the charts. Its principle is ridiculously simple: press the screen, and your bird will gain momentum. As soon as you let go, it glides. But you'll have to time your presses well with the random hills of the backgrounds in order to go as fast and as far as you can, and to score as much points as possible. But even though those hills are never the same thanks to their randomized generation, it's still becoming repetitive sooner or later; which is the main shortcoming of the game. With some added features, play modes and ideas, it could have been far more magical.
