Tiny Troopers 2: Special Ops

Suffice to say, Tiny Troopers 2 is just as enjoyable as its predecessor and comes highly recommended as a simplified RTS that just gets it done right.

With its nods to gaming classics of yesteryear, Special Ops really is a blast. It's not a full-blooded action title, and it certainly doesn't have the depth of a traditional RTS, but it does lie somewhere happily between the two, occupying its own little niche. Put simply, it's an awful lot of fun, and that's as much as anyone can ask for.

Tiny Troopers 2 may be a case of more of the same, only better, but this is no bad thing when it's based on such a great foundation. Fans of the first game and those new to the series who yern after then classic Cannon Fodder games should set their sights on this one.

Very reminiscent of the Cannon Fodder series, Tiny Troopers 2 is a simple to control real time strategy game that does not take itself too seriously at all, and ends up being quite enjoyable because of it.

Tiny Troopers 2 is a bigger, and almost better, game than the original. The structure is favored more toward in-app purchases this time around, which sadly interferes with the difficulty balance more than it needs to.

Developed again by Kukouri Mobile Entertainment, Tiny Troopers 2 features expansive levels, improved upgrade systems, and exciting gameplay, offering more of the same great action with some welcome tweaks.

Tiny Troopers 2: Special Ops offers tiny warfare with a large amount of fun throughout 21 missions, and also includes unlockable zombie survival maps with high score leaderboards.

Even though Tiny Troopers 2 may not have set out to redefine the Tiny Troopers franchise, the game still functions as a fairly impressive sequel with great visuals, fun gameplay, and a perfect balance of depth and pick-up-and-play accessibility.

The improvements are largely cosmetic, with everything about this sequel – from the menus to the maps – more polished and user friendly, springing to life on Retina-equipped iOS devices with bursts of colour and character.
