I didn't expect to write it, but it's one of the most boring games ever created, I don't represent anything, the bottom and meter of mud.

you support the developer in difficult times for them by buying the game, despite all the mistakes of the game to this day and the poor loading of locations, but they decide to turn away from you and side with neo-Nazism and Maidan, goodbye CD PROJEKT

Obviously this mobile MOBA isn't going to be able to beat out it's competition on PC, but there's a solid enough game here to scratch that competitive itch when you're away from home. Even better is that it's free-to-play and has a Witcher skin.

The gameplay has you capturing and holding control points in order to run down the other team's score, whether they be real people or AI. It's not a very large game. Only two maps, one game mode, and a handful of playable characters. There's enough here though to make it worth playing on the go. Matches can go on a little long for a mobile game so be sure to have a little time set aside.

The only real issue this mobile MOBA has is with the touch controls. They can just make getting around the map a touch awkward, but it's not that bad. Overall this is a great attempt at bringing a MOBA to a mobile device. It's another solid way of taking the Witcher brand into a new type of game.

I give "The Witcher: Battle Arena" an 8.5/10.

It's really good and a shame we can't play this anymore. Would have been so good these days.

The touch controls start off feeling a little detached, but it will grow on you. [Issue#158, p.109]

If we pretend that Battle Arena is not a part of The Witcher franchise and is not spreading its universe too thin, it’s a good mobile MOBA, very simplified though (one basic mode, two small maps, nine characters). [03/2014, p.65]

You will not find here the familiar classic DotA gameplay with towers, bases and infinitely spawning infantry. Instead, the CD Projekt RED created the team slasher in the format "3 vs. 3" with the main goal to capture and hold control points. [Issue #195, p.81]
