Apr 16, 2013With all the comparisons and nods to Super Mario Bros., mobile gamers might wonder if The Other Brothers is their platformer's Mario. I wouldn't go that far, but 3D Attack's long-awaited entry in the house that Mario built is charming, humorous, and most importantly, feels darn good in motion. Give it time to grow and I foresee it getting even better.

Apr 4, 2013The Other Brothers is a beautifully presented and highly unique platforming experience for the iOS platform, but without tighter controls the game goes from challenging to frustrating all too easily; thankfully it's also short, so you won't be entirely infuriated by the experience.
-
Apr 4, 2013A great concept partially foiled by really shoddy implementation.
-
Apr 15, 2013Despite the complaints, we continue to play The Other Brothers because it's still a decent game. There are a ton of collectible oil cans to track down, and the sheer size of its stages inspire us to continue adventuring, just to see everything the game has to offer.
-
Apr 15, 2013There's no game with quite such promise that gets squandered on something so frustrating to play like The Other Brothers.
-
Apr 29, 2013The Other Brothers easily attracts with its large level design and stylish pixels. However, the ride is short, and camera and enemy issues strip it of its fun.
-
Apr 24, 2013A great idea ruined by poor controls and a bad level design. The concept has been proven right many times before, but this time it needs extra polishing.
-
Apr 12, 2013The artwork goes some way to redeeming The Other Brothers; for all the detail to be found in the backgrounds and sprites, everything moves fluidly, but ultimately this is still a platforming game on the wrong platform.
-
Apr 10, 2013A potentially great platform completely spoiled by shameful controls and an ordinary level design.
-
Apr 7, 2013At $1.99, The Other Brothers will be worth a gander if they implement a fix to the control scheme. Until then, I would direct you to hunt for your platforming princess in another castle.
-
Apr 4, 2013A messy control system that you're constantly having to fight against means The Other Brothers is a pale imitation of the games it's trying to copy.
-
Apple'N'AppsApr 4, 2013The Other Brothers ($0.99, Universal) looks promising, but just doesn’t feel ready for primetime leaving a game that has more problems than highlights. Updates are planned, and we will reevaluate the game accordingly, but for now it seems the developers released a beta on the App Store that is worth skipping at the moment.
-
Apr 10, 2013The Other Brothers' control issues are bad enough to sink this platformer.
