Mar 15, 2011This fast-paced action game has a slick retro aesthetic, and is sure to keep players coming back with its varied and challenging gameplay.
-
Mar 6, 2011Featuring frantic gameplay, easy controls, and a fun crossover with League of Evil, The Blocks Cometh provides plenty of excitement to balance out the frequent frustrations.
-
May 24, 2011As far as fast-paced, death-at-every-corner survival games go, The Blocks Cometh easily ranks up there with the best of the best. It's tough as nails, but if you're even tougher this is a challenge you'll absolutely want to face.
-
Mar 15, 2011It is brilliant and beautiful, but the control issues put a real damper on my enjoyment of the game.
-
Mar 15, 2011The Blocks Cometh has finally arrived in all of its true glory and instead of simply aping the free Flash version that spawned it, Halfbot have added some fun challenges thanks to their unlockable characters.
-
Mar 15, 2011Rocking an excellent tone and a visual flair reminiscent of a new age 8-bit game. It's highly stylized and fitting, especially when you factor in the retro-infused music that plays over the action. It's good stuff.
-
Mar 15, 2011The Blocks Cometh is an easy recommendation, both to new players as well as to those who previously bought the knock-off. The game is attractive, challenging and rewarding, and nails that just-one-more-time addictiveness factor that makes games easy to pick up and hard to put down.
-
Mar 15, 2011A pick up and play game for the serious gamer. It's extremely challenging but tons of fun.
-
Mar 15, 2011Might be limited to a single game mode, but it comes packed with excellent gameplay worthy of that one more go over and over again. Definitely recommended for the hardcore gamer looking for a casual game.
-
Mar 24, 2011Despite a good premise, The Blocks Cometh doesn't engage its audience. To be clear, it's not a bad game, and the graphics are pretty nice, likewise the good chiptune music. But unfortunately the contents are poor and the lack of variety is clear. Besides few unlockable characters and some achievements, the player doesn't have many reasons to keep the game on his iPhone for long.
-
Mar 15, 2011We keep coming back for more, largely because the developers did an excellent job making it seem easier than it is, like doing a keg stand or tying a cherry stem with one's tongue. What? Not everyone can do that? Nonsense. Well, in this case, we spend upwards of 30 minutes failing to break 200 meters.
-
Mar 15, 2011Killer pixel graphics and awesome music make you want to love The Blocks Cometh, but the crowded controls keep you from embracing it fully.
