The cards are beautiful and the space battle theme is very well done. The GUI could be improved but it's no problem to get along on the iPad.

To be victorious you have to carefully pick the right cards from 4 different fractions. Each of them has different features and it's a lot of fun to try various combinations. You get a so called "ally bonus" that encourages you to focus on one or two fractions.

The alliance feature is the one that finally killed the game for me. The bonus towards the end is so huge with 20+ damage that at the end it's usually over within 1 or 2 rounds. A carefully planned battle turns into a massacre with no chance to fight back. In the beginning I liked this dynamic game speed, however, I much prefer a more balanced and strategic design.

You can try the game for free and once purchased you can play it on all supported platforms. It comes with a campaign mode, online play and 3 difficulty levels.
