The gameplay, voice acting, and characters from Star Ocean: Anamnesis are okay, although I do like that cute little AI character Coro for its typical Japanese reactions and humor. It's also nice to bring back characters from past Star Ocean games you can summon, including crossover characters from other games like Nier: Automata, Valkyrie Profile, and Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.
Many downsides for this game is mostly the microtransactions when it comes to leveling and grinding for items. There's so much you need to level to make your items, equipment, and characters stronger, but to advance you need to pay more money from your bank account. Getting new characters and stronger characters is literally like gambling that has microtransactions, and they're not cheap! Why can't it be just a normal daily missions for the items you really need to level up without the microtransactions? Why can't the premium currency be way cheaper without inflating the prices enough to purchase a copy of a game or two?
