Oct 17, 2011Squids is a rarer find than an all-natural Tahitian pearl. From the gameplay to the graphics to the sound, everything here is pitch-perfect. More importantly, it's impossible to come away from the game without wearing a damn idiot grin on your face. It's great.

Oct 12, 2011SQUIDS is a fantastically fun game with a great, whimsical feel.

Feb 6, 2012Squids combines tactics and RPG in a game that has clearly been thought, and crafted with the touch platforms in mind. As a results, it works really well, and the overall quality of the production, visuals, sounds, and gameplay for such a little price make it a real teat for iOS gamers (and later Android ones).

Jan 17, 2012Squids merges the Angry Birds firing mechanism with top-down billiards-like physics, then welds the result to a cute, if short, role-playing adventure.
-
Nov 1, 2011Squids is remarkable in that it cooly throws out a lot of the garbage I associate with the genre and turns it on its head with a kinetic combat mechanic that keeps you in control without sacrificing any strategy.
-
Oct 19, 2011Squids is a fun tactical RPG with likeable characters, great music, and a learning curve that eases new players in. Getting this one is a no brainer.
-
Oct 17, 2011Squids emerges as a turn-based strategy game that delivers on many aspects, but it isn't flawless. The game is unquestionably a beautiful audio/visual experience, but sadly too short to allow it to be savoured as it ought to.

Oct 16, 2011Featuring a charming graphical style, simple slingshot controls, and light RPG elements, Squids is a promising title that's fun for all ages.
-
Oct 14, 2011The characters are cute and well designed, the levels are challenging yet not brutal, the music is bright and lively, and flinging the squids around the screen is a ton of fun. And we can all use a bit more of that, right?
-
Oct 14, 2011Like a bowl of deep-fried calamari with sliced lemon and mayonaise, every bite is a delight. It's just a shame about the pricing model.
-
Oct 24, 2011Squids is clever, but it's a cleverness that can slowly give way to devious manipulation: the game has fallen for the easy money of microtransactions, and it's fallen hard.
-
Oct 17, 2011Squids has a lot of good ideas and can be fun at times, but also tends to feel a bit rough, leading to some frustration.
