    Squid Drop looks like a standard high score game, but the way the game expands as you play makes it stand out.

    The game's presentation is ugly, and there are some leaderboard issues to work out, but Squid Drop's varied level types and random missions keep the player on their toes.

    Constant death is anticipated, with a misstep causing your squid to burst into orbs of ink. (There's even a bonus for dying within 10 seconds of starting a level.) This would be fine if losing was always a matter of skill, but some levels are practically impossible, with the only safe passage down depositing your squid onto a hazard that you have no chance to evade.

    Squid Drop is in need of an update, but it's still a cool App well worth your time. On a related note, the sooner we have a squid plush toy, the better. Seriously, we just want to pinch its little face.

    Squid Drop takes a simple concept and instead of leaving it at a handful of variations it explodes with a multitude of ideas that make each new game a worthwhile experience.
