A warm and endearing adventure that, despite a few problems, is still definitely worth a go.

So much of Spirits of Spring is on-point that the failure to ultimately cross the finish line is a sharp disappointment. I should keep things in perspective, though. Spirits of Spring's design, art, and narrative work so well together in conveying its theme that the strongest complaint I can muster is that it doesn't work perfectly.

Spirits of Spring is a safe game that will teach kids about bullying and friendship. The message is loud and clear, but game is very easy. Therefor Spirits of Spring is not for adults, just for children.

As an allegory of healing, Spirits of Spring takes on the difficult task of cleaning an open wound, and trusts that each player will be able to trace the edges on their own.

Ultimately isn't very enjoyable to play. [Issue#255, p.76]

It does accomplish the purpose it set out to, but it needs some work as a game in practice.
