May 16, 2013This is a game with style, substance, and its own great blend of action and strategy, and for now is an iOS exclusive to boot. If you have any love for Sid Meier, strategy games, aviation sims, or just darn good games you'd be crazy to not give this game a shot.
-
May 10, 2013A brilliantly balanced, perfectly playable game of strategy and swooping turns that will have you enthralled, Sid Meier's Ace Patrol is a must-play.
-
May 13, 2013At launch, the promised network multiplayer mode was a no-show, and selecting that mode confusingly sends you back to the App Store to download the latest version of the game. There’s also no difference between the campaigns for each country, so buying them is really a matter of whether you want the different planes to fly.
-
May 9, 2013All in all we wouldn't hesitate to recommend that any strategy fan gets stuck into at least the free content that's on offer here, and it's a wise distribution model given that there's not a great deal of hand-holding or explanation of the game's core mechanics.
-
May 13, 2013After porting all of its classics successfully to iOS, Sid Meier proves himself once again with Ace Patrol. It feels wonderfully refreshing and the dogfights combine accessibility with an intelligent layer of tactics. It's ruthless when failing a mission though, but that's compensated by a look that breathes sympathy and fun multiplayer modes.

May 10, 2013Mr. Meier has come up with a smart and innovative game of turn-based tactics for gamers on the go. Now it’s your job to be a smart consumer and show him what you’re willing to pay for – as well as what you’re not.
-
May 31, 2013The concept is interesting but too soon everything will be sacrificed to in-app-purchases that are forced by design dead ends that can just be solved by spending money. This is pay-to-win at its worst…
