    Point-and-click adventure games have always worked well on touch devices, and The Shivah makes the jump to iOS gracefully. It’s rare that a game’s plot, characters, genre, and platform mesh as neatly as they do in this short and bittersweet tale.

    The remastered version of The Shivah: Kosher Edition for iOS is the perfect bite-sized adventure that'll whet one's curiosity for many answers to life, death, choices, and mystery.

    Like a rabbinical sermon, Shivah is short, thought-provoking, and raises a lot of questions. It's got terrific puzzles, too, but that doesn't really fit my clever analogy.

    The Shivah: Kosher Edition was overlooked by most players upon its initial release in 2006, but adventure game fans would be making a huge mistake to let that happen a second time to this wonderfully written murder mystery.

    The Shivah was an early adventure title for Wadjet Eye, and it shows. It has its charms, but outside of adventure game fans, this old-fashion adventure will have trouble reaching a wider audience.
