The gameplay is simple, but youll notice that will change the further into the game you get. The game has loads of cool little game modes, that are each so unique (for an IOS game). The music is so good, it feels like it should be console release, and the user interface is good! The game has a story (sort of) that is maintained (sort of) through the game.

Damn only 5 reviews, thats sad. This game is great, and it just goes to show, how ignorant the gaming community can be. Its free, so don't hesitate to get this game! (although you may want to hold your wallet for those in-game purchases)

Well ... another masterpiece from Nekki games ; like vector. the graphics and animations are awesome. When you play this game , whether paying money or not , you have this feeling of playing " A SERIOUS GAME " on your phone or tablet , not just a casual game.
anyway... if are a fan of graphics or action ; DON'T MISS THIS GAME.

The virual joystick is locked in position, unlike most more modern versions which simply set the deadzone at the first point you touch. This means that, rather than dragging "down" to crouch, it feels more like you're meticulously dragging a little ball into a slot to crouch, made even more difficult by how small it is, meaning you'll generally point bottom-right or bottom-left before crouch.

This problem is accentuated by the chore of trying to walk; usually, the character will enter a spastic series of forward and backward flips before actually walking as it keeps registering the control input as too high.

The attack buttons are also far too small; I can cover them both quite easily with a single finger or thumb, which is what usually happens during play.

The P2W element is a joke. Fights are labelled by difficulty; if a fight needs better gear, it's labelled "impossible", which effectively means your equipment is too weedy to even damage the enemy within. This isn't a big issue. The real issue is that fights labelled "Hard" don't actually mean "Hey, this enemy has tougher gear than you, so will take more hits and deal more damage."

"Hard" actually means "Hey, this enemy will land impossible headshots, huge combos and constant criticals, all while having more health than a Dark Souls boss, until you spend some coins/gems on your gear. Once you do that, this enemy will be demoted to "Old Granny" difficulty and you may continue playing."

In short, a great concept, spoiled by poor controls and some serious combat rigging.

Whilst this seems to fair well on the iOS, I also happened to obtain this through the Windows Store for the PC, and sadly, the two are very much intertwined, as there are no great differences between the two despite the obvious platform one.

With that in mind people might find it useful if I break it down into comparisons between the two platform versions.

    Animation:
iOS - Smooth at all times. Very impressive.
Windows - Noticeably sluggish with sporadic moments of increased speed in animation.

    Gameplay:

    Interface:
iOS, plain and simple. Does the job without looking too much like it's in the way.
Windows: Good stuff, same as iOS, there's options to hide the UI if you're using the keyboard instead of a touch screen.

For both platforms this is identical.
    In-game:
Far too often (NOT FOR too often, FAR too often) I have found that hits aren't connecting on the people I'm trying to beat. This is not only really annoying, it's also suggestive of lazy dev work.
I've tried hitting a backward flipping opponent with a bo staff that otherwise in this world would have made a clean hit, but it's very VERY pick and choose about when it wants to register those hits.
The equipment is ok, but don't expect the decent stuff to come without a struggle, as I found the katana was only available if you had a significant number of gems, which obviously, you have to outright pay for on the Windows version, but you can at least attempt to earn them for 'free' (at the cost of personal details to random spam companies etc) so for both counts it was a huge let down.

All in all, if this wasn't such a lazily ported job with the Windows version, and wasn't such a money sucking pay2win whorebag in general, I'd probably give it at least 8.
"No it's NOT!" I hear the devs cry. Oh really? Is that why the old friend that get's mentioned is called 'Satoshi'. Google that. Satoshi. Satoshi is to Bitcoin what pence are to pounds or cents to bucks. So yeah, it is a money sucking pay2win whorebag.

Yes, I would give it an 8 but no, because it's not as good as it should be, and despite communicating with the devs, I'm not entirely convinced that it is as questioningly "malfunctional" as it appears to be in game. I'm not going to be so generous unfortunately. Nekki gets a big fat ZERO, both on game score and how many points they'd get if they were to be entered into a business honesty competition.

Get screwed Nekki. And then some.

Considering it's touch screen UI and limitations, this is surprisingly good fighting game, with really cool ancient oriental theme, nice visuals and slight RPG elements. My rating would be much higher if it wasn't for all that annoying in-app purchase crap, where the game is trying to indirectly force you, or let's say inspire you to milk the cash out of you. I would never succumb to paying for some retarded in-game tokens or whatever, so then you're left with hours of grinding instead of that if you want to press forward. I did that for the first Act that I finished and enjoyed the game, but you get the idea how the game works by then and you know you got plenty more of grinding hours ahead of you if you want to continue, plus additional and inevitable ads are present in Act II and by that time, you will realize you got tons of better games to play anywhere else that would be preferable to more grinding here. It's a pity that such a potentially good game experience was tainted by this $$$ crap. 5/10 Expand

Shadow fight 2 - is a really good fighting-RPG game with unusual and interesting fighting mechanic, good visual side, awesome animation close in quality to motion capture, great music and cool for a mobile project epic storyline. I really like and recomend it!)

Even with the occasional control issues and often times frustrating tendency for moves to miss entirely, it’s hard not to recommend Shadow Fight 2. Personally I think it’s worth checking out just for the animations themselves, but there’s also a reasonably entertaining fighter behind them. Just make sure to bring your Zen with you.

Shadow Fight 2 comes with some of the best animations ever seen on a mobile device, hundreds of moves and weapons to unlock. What a pity the game becomes very hard very fast, forcing you to grind or buy some IAPs.
