Seabeard is an inspired, fun adventure, with excellent touch controls and plenty of quests and minigames.

Seabeard isn’t the magically universal game that I wish it could be, but for those that can work within its system, the rewards have the potential to be truly great.

Seabeard delivers so much to do, but so little to play that is worth picking up for the sheer magnitude, and that underlying pull that keeps you coming back to discover more of the world.

A light-hearted adventure that nearly hits Nintendo-style heights, but never quite manages to get there.

There probably is something beautiful in this windwaker/animal crossing-esque free to play title, but it’s way to buried under its freemium business model and repetitive activities.

I want to explore other islands and see the rest of this charming world that developer Hand Circus has created. It’s possible that there’s more here, just beyond the next construction, there will be a spectacular change and everything will open up. But after six long days, it hasn’t happened. I’m still just fishing, and selling fish, and waiting.

Unfortunately, this is another game that has the potential to show that mobile gaming can be competitive with handheld systems and consoles that has been marred by the get rich quick freemium model.

Good looking game, but the grind is unbearable unless you buy both regular currency (gold) and premium currency (pearls). They really,Good looking game, but the grind is unbearable unless you buy both regular currency (gold) and premium currency (pearls). They really, really, really got the balance wrong in the sense that most people will get extremely frustrated with the horrifically slow pace of the game and uninstall within a few hours of playing. The worst part of the game is that there is no viable end game. The goal is to rebuild your island, but looking at the top islands on the leaderboard, they all look ugly and not worth the effort. This game is destined to fail and fail soon. Expand
