Jan 18, 2017It’s almost like a hybrid of Tetris and Star Command, yet it’s much more relaxing, hence the “meditative” part of the description. It features elements of base-building, tower-defense, and puzzle, all in one complete package.
-
Aug 1, 2013Nevertheless, Rymdkapsel feels tailor-made for iOS in both form and function, and its elegant, subtle constituent parts nest within one another as neatly as its four-block tetrominos snap together along a space station corridor.
-
Aug 7, 2013Accessible and engaging, Rymdkapsel puts a fun retro-minimalist spin on a familiar genre – a perfect combination for gobbling up your free time.
-
Aug 6, 2013Rymdkapsel is an addictive, hypnotic waste of time.
-
Aug 6, 2013Its simplicity allows players to focus on the big picture aspects of building, directing, and growth, while its puzzle-like room construction adds a layer of complexity that encourages different approaches each playthrough.
-
Aug 5, 2013How minimalistic can you make a strategy title? The answer is Rymdkapsel. Super addictive, with a flair for details and clever design. Rymdkapsel is a short but perfect brain twister for iPad.
-
Apple'N'AppsAug 2, 2013Rymdkapsel leaves a lasting impression like few iOS games, and provides such a worthwhile experience in the heat of the battle making it a must buy that everyone should take part in.
-
Aug 1, 2013It's hard to tell just what rymdkapsel is with nothing but screen shots to go on, but rest assured that whatever it is, it's awesome.
-
Aug 1, 2013Using simple building mechanics, sparse hands-off combat, and just a light smattering of overall goals to achieve, Rymdkapsel’s gameplay reinforces its presentation to offer a clever and challenging experience.
-
Aug 13, 2013A weirdly engaging game that can easily eat away a long evening of couch lounging.
-
Aug 2, 2013There is almost nothing bad I can say about Rymdkapsel. Everything is simple, minimal and cut down. I can hardly think of how the game would function if one of the room-types were removed for the sake of implementing something else.
-
Aug 12, 2013A fascinating spin on the RTS genre that shows you just how intricate minimalist design can be.
-
Aug 6, 2013The implementation of minimalist strategy is brilliant really, with clever systems that are fun and challenging to learn. And while the experience is short-lived after you have learned everything, it's a unique experience that is well worth taking the time to master.
-
Aug 1, 2013In essence, you have to play it less and less, and it will feel better every time. It's all about going out of your way not to go out of your way.
-
Sep 20, 2013It’s hard not to notice the potential greatness it could have had if not for a few design concessions to its minimalist design philosophy, proving that sometimes a little complexity is a good thing.
-
Aug 12, 2013It’s a simple strategy game that’s easy to learn, but difficult to master.
-
Sep 10, 2013Rymdkapsel is a special strategy game for your tablet or phone. Play it for fifteen minutes and you'll end up confused. Play it longer and you'll imagine you're playing a classic RTS, without a story though. Rymdkapsel looks charming with its minimalistic graphics and limits itself to the essentials, but in the end this is also the reason why it plays like many other games in the genre.
