    Resident Evil Mercenaries Vs, doesn't come close to the best multi-player iOS shooters out there. It does have some great ideas, and you will have fun online. But the control scheme is outdated now, particularly on a touchscreen, which severely dampens the overall package.

    While some amusement can be derived from Resident Evil Mercenaries VS. it only features the most basic of competitive gameplay features, making it a hard game to enjoy even if you can forgive its control setup.

    Resident Evil Mercenaries VS. focuses on the multiplayer, even if it's very hard to find a match right now. There are some interesting things the developers put on the table, but the cumbersome controls and the poor maps will let you down.

    With enough practice, some people may warm up to the style of multiplayer battling in Resident Evil Mercenaries VS, but with so many far superior online multiplayer experiences on iOS already it doesn't seem worth the effort.

    With better controls, this would be a killer deathmatch game. But it doesn't have better controls.
