Horrible and broken piece of S$%T.

I have a huge collection and this game just locks you out. Never ever remembers who you are or what your Password/Username is. Seriously, it just will NEVER EVER help you log in. Always just blatantly is broken and "password is wrong or username is wrong" so you reset it all... and same thing. it just refuses to let me log in. Pokemon Staff are

This review is only for the Mac version (which I assume to be the same as the PC)

Unplayable and horrible deck editor. The game, when you finish the annoying registration process, starts off with absolutely no real instructions on what to do to actually start playing. It does have a tutorial, which only gives instructions on HOW to play, which, for people like me who've played since

    Unplayable and horrible deck editor.

The game, when you finish the annoying registration process, starts off with absolutely no real instructions on what to do to actually start playing. It does have a tutorial, which only gives instructions on HOW to play, which, for people like me who've played since they were kids, is not necessary.

After mousing over the different icons, you see a "play" option, which looks like the typical arrow pointing right. Clicking on it gives you options for battling AI trainers, versus, tournament (which I never tried) and some others which I didn't try. The biggest problem I have is really the deck editor. 95% of this review will be about it:

I spent about twenty minutes fiddling around with the deck editor to find out that:
    1) All the cards I put in my deck were not even owned by me, somehow
    2) My deck was not fit for standard play

Firstly, how does this **** game get off by telling me I didn't even own the cards I put in the deck? I used the **** card list shown to me when making a deck! You CAN click on an option to view cards you don't own, but I never clicked on it. As far as I knew, I was using cards I **** owned.

Secondly, THERE IS NO OPTION TO VIEW CARDS ONLY FIT FOR STANDARD PLAY! This is a giant detractor for people who actually want to make legal decks for standard play. I used to play pokemon in the past, sure, but I have not been keeping up with the latest packs. Why can't I have an option to view cards ONLY fit for standard play so I can actually play with decks made by me?

Thirdly, the deck editor shows very small cards. There is no way to zoom in on a list of cards but rather you must zoom in on each individual card and scroll through. Each pack of pokemon cards contain probably around 100 or so cards, so you'll be scrolling left and right a LOT. It's retarded. It's like a brain-dead child video game developer designed this with absolutely no goddamn functionality in mind.

Fourthly, The deck editor's decks don't even matter when battling AIs, because you use "themed" decks against them. In fact, you can only use your deck against people. And if it's not standard, good **** luck with tournaments. Why can't I simply use my deck against AIs in a story mode? Speaking of which...

No story mode. No fighting gym leaders. No beating AIs to earn packs and open them to edit your deck. None of that. It's really, really backwards.

You all are better off downloading gameboy color emulator and downloading the ONLY good pokemon game made by Nintendo once upon a time ago. Seriously, these guys made such a **** good pokemon game in the past that I played and replayed over and over because it was that good. But not this game. I don't know what this game is, but it's not a pokemon card game. That's for sure.

Extremeley unbalanced. Right after tutorial online players land 3 stage 2 pokemons in turn 3, while I have only 2 stage 1 cards in the deck in general.

Gorgeous art but the game is awful, 0 strategy.
Each player has to think only about his turn, you have 0 chances to interfere in the opponent's turn.

The only strength of the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online is that it recreates a great real-world trading card game, but it does it in such a half-hearted, slapdash way that I would much rather be playing the real thing.

This is a great card game: quick, deep and extremely fun. And there are Pokémons too. A lot of them. Gotta battle ’em all.
