Aug 1, 2018You might make it a personal mission to progress through the quests that help to build your knowledge of the game while also having you build certain things or upgrade them to bring new mechanics into play. Or you might just want to keep zoning areas, building roads and just increasing your population to as big a number as possible. Ultimately it doesn’t really matter how you play Pocket City, I think you’ll have a blast regardless.

Aug 2, 2018If you’re a fan of city building games, then you will love this. If your not a fan of city building games, then you’ll love it more. It is the perfect game to spend any train journeys playing, it fills you with a real sense of accomplishment and does tedious activities like collecting revenue from shops automatically. Your focus is very much on what do I build next, how do I increase my revenue and keep my city safe.

Aug 6, 2018Pocket City is a fantastic addition to the city building genre with slick gameplay, speedy progression, and that just five more minutes feel.
-
Aug 10, 2018Pocket City strikes the right balance between depth and usability, delivering maybe the first real classic city builder on a mobile scale.

Aug 6, 2018Pocket City is by far one of the best city-building experiences you can have on any platform, mobile or otherwise. The streamlined, ad-free experience is great fun at every turn, and minutes spent in-game quickly turn into hours. It's a wonder this review even got written, with a bustling city that's in need of its mayor unattended for the length of time it took to write this. If you're on the fence, just go ahead and pay the five bucks. You certainly won't regret it.

Jul 31, 2018Some rules in Pocket City are frustratingly rigid, while others are so easy to work around that they feel game-breaking. These inconsistencies ultimately make for a game that only stays enjoyable up to a limit. Although there is a pretty fun progression to the game, you never feel like you have the full freedom to make the city you want. Instead, you always feel like you have the freedom to make the kind of city that nobody wants, which is not particularly satisfying.

Aug 3, 2018It’s a battery annihilator, especially with the graphics settings turned up, and it needs some balance tweaks – casual mode offers no challenge, while hard and expert are possibly a little too slow burn – but this is the nearest we’ve ever been to a proper touchscreen city builder.
