There is a serious issue with gem accounting which needs to be resolved. They rely on the vendors to remedy monetary issues.

Developers are not working fast enough to solve other key issues as well:

    Missing content: Paid-for items disappearing.

    Some card performance intermittent.

Employees monitoring rapid user advancement, then entering a battle with a perfect draw (cheesing).

Good system for reporting bugs, but meaningful response is non-existent!

    Most importantly:
The latest version is not disability friendly: using tablets, the new drag-and-drop targeting is more exact; this means when multiple cards are attempted, waiting for the animation causes time to run out before they can be played to the more accurate standard.

Entertaining game, but too big for its panties.

While better than Plants vs Zombies 2, Plants vs Zombies Heroes is not a good example of a game. However, this game is not pay-to-win as Plants vs Zombies 2 (it still is pay-to-win). The plot is much better, though if they increased the chance of getting a hero, didn't reduce the fighting force some plants and zombies, this would be a good game.

Tower defense turned into a card game and for me it’s the best Plants vs. Zombies game in years. [13/2016, p.82]

The transition to cards has been successful for these warriors. A very engaging game with a well-balanced free-to-play system that it's worth a try.

A Hearthstone-like CCC game plenty of great characters, fun gameplay and customization options.
