Sep 7, 2023Just as good as the original. It's harder and more chaotic and has a better survival endless but has microtransactions, level up system, and the levels are shorter. Overall great game. The new updates with arena and all these weird plants no one will use drag it from a 9 to a 8 but still quite great.

May 19, 2023THE NEGATIVITY ARE JUST NOSTALGIA MEATRIDERS. the first game was great but this was wayyyy more fun and creative and we actually had stuff to grind for and the whole concept and idea was too perfect and created so many creative levels. this is a sequel done right

Feb 21, 2023Nice sequel of the first one good ideas on expanding the game with the maps and diferent types of plants and zombies, the only problem that i have its why the game is not in pc, it would be so much more papular and better than just being a phone game,i hope popcap develop pvz3 one day and its for all consoles and pc that would be amazing.

Jan 2, 2023I used to like it, but after many updates, it just became a cash grab. If EA didn't focus heavily on microtransactions, it would've been a worthy sequel. Now we have to level up our plants with seed packets that should be bought? EA is slowly killing this franchise.

Nov 24, 2022some people its a perfect sequel. I think its lack luster and boring. also **** the micro transaction

Jan 27, 2022It's good but it's not a 10 because it doesn't give me me nostalgia and good vibes like the first game does

Jan 16, 2022It is fun game. I always play this game even I already end the story of the game. Nice Idea for Popcap about the all plants, Zombies and the places.

Dec 14, 2021Microtransaction filled mess. It is very playable without microtransactions, but it makes it MUCH harder. Arena mode in unwinnable without premium plants, and penny's pursuit is way to hard, but don't worry. You can buy a bonus or a plant to help you out! Playable without buying anything, but it's constantly shoved in your face.

Aug 30, 2021Lots of new and fresh things, really original ideas, more and more plants with unique abilities, too bad it wasn't released on PC, sad when this game has microtransactions
-
Apr 24, 2021Thanks for ruining this formula by filling it with microtransactions and only putting it on phones, EA.

Oct 20, 2020The first part was the best game of the year, and the second part is garbage.
-
Sep 15, 2020A great game with a terrible sequel ruined by EA, How they can turn this masterpiece into a p2w game is beyond me

May 5, 2019This game was way better than the first one. It has more plants and more unique features.
-
Jun 13, 2018I wish EA didn't touch this. Only thing going for it is the design. Everything else sucks. To top this of, this is a typical example of a pay-to-win game.

Jun 29, 2016Plants vs Zombies 2: It's About Time was a letdown for me. I never really enjoyed it, as it became way too complex. It lost the appeal that the original had.

Games Master UKSep 18, 2013A fantastic sequel, unhindered by its free to play model. Plant this on your device now! [Nov 2013, p.78]
-
Sep 10, 2013Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time just works well in every way. The game makes good use of the Free to Play-model, with which you'll only pay for something to make it a bit easier for yourself. The game is just as enjoyable without spending a dime though.

Hyper MagazineSep 4, 2013A big improvement on the first game, albeit one hampered by the free to play model. [Oct 2013, p.77]
