Feb 1, 2013Pixel People is a highly appealing freemium game that just about everyone should try.
-
Jan 31, 2013Pixel People takes an apocalyptic future and makes it hopeful, cheerful and bright-if it's where freemium games are headed, we have a lot to look forward to.
-
Feb 11, 2013Pixel People is one of those titles that takes a well-worn idea and goes off on a completely different tangent with it. The charm and cheeky little pokes at life will make you burst into a smile more often than not and the game is sure to work its way under your skin, leaving you managing your new society into the small hours of the night.
-
Apple'N'AppsFeb 6, 2013Pixel People (Free, Universal) is the best simulation game in the App Store that takes advantage of every pixel it delivers.
-
Jan 31, 2013Pixel People is a smart and addictive town builder with a lot of style.
-
Jan 31, 2013As long as you don't mind the waiting game that inevitably accompanies these sorts of expansion-orientated titles, not to mention a rather steep learning curve to citizen creation, you've got one of the best examples of the genre to look forward to.
-
Feb 21, 2013It's a new path in the genre, with a great use of the free-to-play concept. It's innovative and simple, and will give any user loads of fun.
-
Jan 31, 2013Regardless of these small disappointments, each new job discovered and building constructed is still a wonderful surprise.
-
Jan 31, 2013Even with the knowledge that Pixel People has no real meat to it and is about as "fun" as browsing someone's Facebook page I still have a hard time putting it down. Heck, the whole time I've been typing this I've been itching to get back to discovering new jobs. I can't quite explain why but this is definitely one time-waster worth checking out.
-
Jan 30, 2013Excellent little city builder brings plenty of charm and entertainment for free.
-
Games Master UKApr 14, 2013This pixelated city building title packs just enough humour and style to elevate it above free-to-play also-rans and into the territory of being genuinely addictive. [May 2013, p.89]
-
Feb 10, 2013It may not be as involved as other simulation genre offerings, but Pixel People's adorable take on city building and gene splicing makes for good times with a casual focus.
-
Feb 6, 2013While not a terrible use of the freemium model, it's not doing itself any favors by engaging in a 'wait or spend' game style. For those susceptible to these mechanics though, Pixel People is one of the least offensive games in this genre, and will keep you glued to your screen.
-
Feb 4, 2013While it does what it does very well, Pixel People doesn't have the balance or challenge needed to break the shackles of the genre it inhabits.
-
Feb 3, 2013Finding all the jobs, getting surprises when clones are in love and expanding the settlement are all fun, and addictive. Too bad that the pacing slows to a trickle somewhere around level 9.
-
Feb 12, 2013Pixel People is an addictive proposition, one that many players will happily play - but few will be especially happy while doing so. Its pay-offs are irregular and require no skill, simply perseverance in clicking through the splicing options.
