Sep 16, 2013Pivvot strikes a wonderful balance between frustration and elation. What seems impossible at first soon becomes second nature as you gradually get to grips with the game's devilish designs. The overall challenge level isn't quite the same as that found in the game's obvious inspirations, but this is nevertheless a game that you won't be able to walk away from until you've truly mastered it.
-
Aug 1, 2013Pivvot is a game of strategic avoidance that takes the frantic challenge of Super Hexagon and makes it just a bit more cerebral.
-
Aug 9, 2013Even if the game isn't particularly deep, Pivvot knows what it is and feels like a complete experience; there are no in-app purchases to be found here. You'll need to unlock extra modes the old-fashioned way: by trying over and over again until, just when you're ready to call it quits "forever," you finally overcome the challenge.
-
Aug 9, 2013A simple game of avoidance wrapped up in a synaesthesia of audio and visual styling, Pivvot should keep you pushing onward to the break of dawn.
-
Aug 9, 2013Games like Pivvot make absolute fools of people who think iOS isn’t a legitimate gaming platform. It’s hugely addictive, and brings out the competitive side in everyone but, best of all, it gets people talking, which is worth celebrating.
-
Aug 6, 2013Pivvot falls into the same category as games like Super Hexagon - but is just a little more forgiving, and a better experience for it.
-
Aug 6, 2013Compulsive and beautifully tuned, Pivvot is a tense, nervy challenge to relish.
-
Apple'N'AppsAug 2, 2013Pivvot is such a well crafted experience that is thoroughly engaging which offers a brilliant balance of fun and frustration making it a should buy.
-
Aug 2, 2013An addictive, brilliantly designed blast of twitch and score-chasing, Pivvot is a wonderful way to waste a few hours.
-
Aug 13, 2013Pivvot's minimalist arcade challenge encourages you to try and try again.
-
Aug 5, 2013Pivvot is an interesting homage to Super Hexagon that proves simultaneously easier and more challenging.
-
Aug 1, 2013Taken as a game, Pivvot lack the edge-of-your-seat challenge I’d hoped to find here. Taken as an experience, Pivvot is a trippy, hypnotic ride that’s perfectly suited to a touch device. Whether or not you’ll enjoy Pivvot is largely dependent on what you’re expecting from it. If you’re in the mood for hypnotic rather than hyperactive, consider Pivvot money well spent.
-
Aug 5, 2013The minimalist audio/visual style is a nice enough way of presenting the game, but the fun factor here is just as minimalist as everything else.
