    A tablet game based on a card game based on a tabletop RPG based on another tabletop RPG maybe isn't where I should have gone looking for an original game, yet this is one of the great fantasy games on iOS.

    So, Pathfinder Adventures is an excellent digital card game that will offer many hours of entertainment and equally many hours of cursing your luck as your three 12-sided dice add to a total of 4.

    One of the highest quality board games on the iPad. Pathfinder fans are probably itching for a ‘real’ game, in the vein of Dragon Age, but in the meantime, this is a good start to the digital side of the IP.

    If you’re a fan of the physical version of Pathfinder Adventures, I think there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy this mobile port. Especially since it takes up a lot less shelf and table space. And if you’ve never played Pathfinder Adventures before, well then this is a fantastic place to start.

For example, the # you need to win a "check" isn't necessarily what's on the card you're fighting--that just gives the baseline. The # in the middle near the top (with the dropdown) reflects the actual #, after modifications for type of skill you're using, weapon effects, etc.

Obsidian's adaptation for mobile tablets is ambitious, and in many ways they succeed. I would encourage people to play this game and offer feedback to Obsidian to help it improve.

    Were it not for a mire of bugs, crashes, oversights, lack of multiplayer, and curiously unbelievable die rolls (I've managed to roll snake eyes, pairs, and other low % rolls far more than I've ever seen with real die) this game would be a 10/10 in my book. As it stands, it needs some serious work to get were it needs to be, but it shows fantastic promise.    … Full Review »
