    It may resemble a boxing match between Optimus Prime and Godzilla, but so what? Robots fighting monsters is a pretty big deal for any video game, especially when it’s done right. There’s nothing too fancy about this title, but that doesn’t detract from its overall effectiveness.

    While Pacific Rim hardly has anything original to offer in terms of gameplay, it is more fun than most licensed fare these days. Plus, it's not every day you get to fight with colossal creatures and robots while you're riding to Grandma's house. Give it a look.

    Big robots beating the mess out of big monsters... if there isn't much more to the movie than that, and you don't mind much more to Pacific Rim the game, either, then this might be for you. But if you want something that you can put a little more of yourself into, then you might want to just keep on looking.

    Pacific Rim suffers from bad touch controls and limited gameplay. Definitely a poor tie-in.

    Pacific Rim The Videogame is far away to Guillermo Del Toro's movie. Not spectacular, not frantic, This fighting game has limited and simplistic mechanics and it's poor in content, too.

    Pacific Rim is just another 'grab the cash and run' film tie-in. Sure, there is some fun to be had smashing Kaiju about the head but the lackluster controls, mind-numbing repetitiveness, and evil IAP system make this one movie tie-in game that should have well and truly been left on the cutting room floor.

    Pacific Rim is almost a decent Infinity Blade clone, but the lack of balance and odd spikes in difficulty make it hard to recommend.

    Pacific Rim is a poorly designed advertisement that can’t even copy established games well, and then charges $5 for that. It’s one to stay far away from, as it’s just a pitiful effort throughout.

    Uninspired, dull, and pestering for more money, this fits in nicely with the volume of film tie-ins.

    Stay away from this game and go see the movie instead. Even if it is the worst film of the summer, it would still be Citizen Kane compared to its video game counterpart.

Parries, Dodges, Blocks, everything!). The Jaegers don't even use their guns or fists that much! They use SWORDS! I only know of a couple Jaegers use swords which are Gypsy Danger and Striker Eureka which still don't use their swords much in the movie. Pacific Rim is a god awful excuse of a game and is in my top 20 worst apps of all time.… Full Review »
