Gameloft's mobile imitation of World of Warcraft is an impressive technical and artistic feat, but there's still a bit more work to do before it reaches its full potential.

Order & Chaos is a novel, interesting, and intriguing application. Being a truly fully-fledged MMORPG on the iPad makes it very endearing to a goblin-loving veteran such as I, but there are some glaring problems with the game to overlook before you can truly enjoy it. A WoW clone until the end, but for the price of admission, and the amount of "I Can't Believe It's Not Azeroth" fun you can have, you might just forgive it.

There's no question that Order & Chaos Online is a remarkable – albeit cheeky - achievement for the mobile gaming scene. You shouldn't buy it because it's an outstanding game (it's not - at least not yet), or because you'll receive an experience on a par with it's clear inspiration (you won't). While it's certainly a thrilling ride in the short-term, longer-term it will simply leave you pining for WOW itself.

This is a great game, and the first MMORPG on iOS that has really consumed quite a bit of my time. I understand where Havok is coming from, but that is not reason to rate this game a '0'. It is people like him that totally screw up game ratings for the rest of us. There is no other game like this on iOS, and while it is essentially a port of WoW, they did so successfully and I've been enjoying the game quite a bit since release. My guess is Havok is a WoW fanboy and an apple hater. No one wanted to bring a game like WoW or WoW to iOS so the devs at gameloft decided to do it.

That being said, this game is a lot of fun and as there has been a drought in MMORPGs for iPhone and iPad, this is and will be a great success, assuming content and updates continue (we shall see). The controls take a little while to get used to (I'm using iPad 2), but it's not too terrible. Takes a bit of self-teaching as the tutorial isn't too extensive, but it shouldn't be overly difficult to pick up for those who have played similar games, or extremely similar games such as WoW.

For $7 (includes 3 months free) and a max of $0.99 per month (discounts if purchasing multiple months), this game is a must-buy for MMORPG lovers.

Though it may be a copy of World of Warcraft, who cares? This is the first MMORPG on iOS and its great. Gameplay is very nice, there are enough quests (with some of them actually a little story line), enough items and monsters/enemy's, great graphics for iPhone (though small render distance) and sound is pretty good. Servers seem to be pretty stable, though sometimes I occur some lag. This game is really worth your money! Full Review »

Game reviewers continue to reward Gameloft for outright theft. Where are your ethics as a so-called journalist? Do you have no morals? SureGame reviewers continue to reward Gameloft for outright theft. Where are your ethics as a so-called journalist? Do you have no morals? Sure the games are fun! That is why they ripped them off in the first place. So all I have to do is copy a game, put a new but similar title on it and I get paid and receive excellent reviews for my dishonesty? Good to know. Full Review »
