    The graphics are clean and cartoonish, the sound effects complement the military theme, and the controls are very responsive.

    Operation Wow offers a great homage to arcade classic Operation Wolf.

    It feels most at home on the larger screen of the iPad, where you can set the device down and put all your fingers to work, but I was surprised at how well it works on the smaller screen of the iPhone and iPod touch using two thumbs to fire.

    If you have fond memories blasting evildoers in Operation Wolf, this is a loving homage to that classic game with cartoon style graphics. Just don't expect to play it for more than a couple of hours.
