Sep 2, 2011For the price, this is one hell of an adventure, and the gameplay experience is just about as refined as can be.
-
Aug 17, 2011Combining beautiful graphics, fun flying/gliding mechanics, and interactive environmental elements, NyxQuest offers a nice mix of puzzle and platformer that's good clean fun for the whole family.
-
Aug 15, 2011NyxQuest is one of the best platformers I have played on any iOS device. It looks and sounds stunning, has a great setting and is generally a joy to play.
-
Nov 14, 2011Originally on WiiWare, there are some concessions to the touch screen with virtual buttons occasionally getting in the way of objects you need to move. This is a small price to pay for such a wondrous platformer at a fraction of the price.
-
Sep 16, 2011NyxQuest is a fine example of a mobile game that successfully makes the transition from other platforms to reach a wider, and different, audience. It plays like it should have been a game made for touch interfaces from the start, and it's the kind of game that would probably do well on a handheld's downloadable service.
-
Aug 15, 2011Great presentation, engaging gameplay, and a decent story. Nyxquest would make a great addition to anyone's iPhone games library.
-
Aug 12, 2011A smartly implemented checkpoint system means you'll never restart from the beginning of a stage.
-
Aug 12, 2011Regardless of control niggles, NyxQuest is still a must buy, even more so at its introductory price, but it'd be nice to see a future update correct the control based inaccuracies.
-
Aug 25, 2011NyxQuest delivers memorable puzzle platforming full of thoughtful brainticklers and leisurely challenge.
-
Aug 17, 2011If it weren't for the controls, NyxQuest would be a near perfect platformer.
-
Sep 7, 2011Nyx Quest isn't a bad game but its obvious flaws diminish the overall experience. Between an original yet poorly thought out gameplay, a distinct lack of variety, and limited content, we're forced to admit that the potential for fun is seriously undermined.
