Netflix continues to put out great games in the App Store. While Into the Breach is a port of an existing game, it is absolutely one worth playing with its addicting gameplay loop and tactical depth. It's a bit of a cult classic for a reason, and now you can (and should) play it on iPhone and iPad.

With all the sharpness and complexity of the original version, Into the Breach brings everything it had and more to Netflix Games. Great visuals and engaging gameplay bring you in while the presentation gives you a lot of options. Whether you're playing casually or intensely, you add as much newness and difficulty as you want to make for a worthwhile strategic experience.

As you start increasing the difficulty of the game, you will be put into objective checkmates in the first move. Basically these 'checkmates' occur depending on which squad you have and if you can somehow predict what the enemies' first moves are. The worst part is that there is nothing you can do it about it since the level cannot be restarted and Undo Move will just put you back into the checkmate that you were once in. It feels unfair and not fun to have a run ruined because the game put me in an unfair situation.

The squads themselves are creative but some just flat-out suck due to their usefulness only being in certain situations.

Still for an indie game by one developer, this game sets an example and is unfortunately one of the better mech games out there.

I wish I was able to carry more content into the next game. Even if i win, everyone dies and i just find myself restarting the game with the same pilot over and over because their abilities are the best.
